Advantages: good oaty tasting biscuit with the obligatory chocolate topping
Disadvantages: none
The plain hobnob was Launched in 1985 and the plain chocolate one was about the same time.
In 1987 the Milk version was launched and this will be the one I will be writing about today.
This biscuit is an oaty biscuit made from the following ingredients.
Rolled oats, Milk chocolate, wholemeal, sugar, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, partially inverted sugar syrup, raising agent, salt.
It tastes as you would expect from an oat biscuit very oaty, and a lot along the lines of Mcvities digestive range, which is not surprising. The difference being in the oats I suppose. Nice and crisp when you bite into them and giving a slightly flapjacky appeal to them the chocolate covering is a plus and very nice too.
In 2006 a Chocolate and Orange version was launched and more recently a Hobnob cream version too.
The company saw the revised shape of the packaging from the plastic wrapper to the carboard tube shape with resealable lid, in 1999. The size averages 250g and costs around £1.69 depending where you shop
.
The box tube is mostly blue whith white writing and has two hobnobs on the packaging so you can see for yourself the type of biscuit you will get.
Great with a cup of tea dunking privaliges optional.
Summary: Got to keep up the supply they are very morish
