Advantages: DELICIOUS! perfect with a cup of tea, or cappacino
Disadvantages: Too addictive, I can never just have one!
This is my favourite biscuit of all time - the hobnob!
Peter Kay famously agrees that this is the ultimate tea dunking biscuit and he's right! The are perfect to dunk in a hot cup of tea without them breaking and falling in like all those other wimps we call biscuits. So no more "quiiick... get a spooon... it's sinkiiing. Meee biiscuiiiits faalliiing iin meee breew!!!"
(quoted from Mr Peter Kay himself)
I could easily go through a pack in one sitting if I could do that without feeling so guilty so I tend to stop myself at about 6 maximum! But normally try to stick with 3 when possible, sometimes it's so hard though!
Being the ultimate tea drinker that I am, means I go through so many of these a day, they are always my breakfast, and I always have them before I go to bed, and often as a little snack during the day too!
They are so oaty and yummy, definately not a typical boring biscuit, they all feel the same and don't have much texture. Definately not like the hobnob!
And these aren't just any hobnob, no, they have chocolate on them!!! It makes them so much better yummm. They have the perfect amount of chocolate on them, a thin layer so they aren't too sickly, and it melts perfectly in a cup of hot tea.
I have well and truly fallen in love with the hobnob. Dress one in a tux, hire a vicor and I will happily get married to my hobnobs!
Summary: yum, yum, yum, yum, yum.

- 23/07/08 Oh my god, reading this review has now got me craving these. I have a Tesco a few minutes walk away but I'm not mad enough to leave the house at this hour. Nice quirky and fun review too. |
