You cant beat a chocolate nob! (McVities Chocolate Hobnobs)

Take some rolled oats, syrup, butter and other bits and bobs and you can create a Hob Nob biscuit. Take the Hob Nob biscuit and cover it in smooth delicious milk chocolate and you have created something very special. I do enjoy the Hob Nob original biscuits but the chocolate ones are out of this world.

I think what McVities get just right with this biscuit is that unlike other chocolate covered biscuits you can still taste the original tastes through the chocolate. I think the fact that the very sweet oaty taste of the Hob Nob mixed with the chocolate taste is not only delicious but very close to perfection.

The original Hob Nobs were great dunking biscuits but don't dunk the chocolate ones it only ruins them. You also get a dark chocolate version of this biscuit but those are a little rich for me and unlike the milk chocolate ones the dark chocolate does mask the original Hob Nob taste.

At 80p for a 250G packet they are pretty much on a par with most chocolate biscuits and they are well worth the money in my opinion. They are unfortunately very fattening but then what delicious chocolate biscuit isn't? At over 90 calories per biscuit you do have to eat these sensibly which can be hard because they are a bit addictive.

Rolled Oats, Plain Chocolate, (Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Vegetable Fat, Butter Oil, Cocoa Butter, Emulsifiers, Natural Vanilla Flavouring, Wholemeal, Sugar, Vegetable Oil, Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Raising Agents (Sodium Bicarbonate, Ammonium Bicarbonate) and salt.
