Disadvantages: tasty

I was feeling biscuity, needed something sweet no biscuits in the cupboard but I was going to the corner shop the only biscuits they sold that I fancied were Mcvities digestive. These biscuits cost 54p for 500g pack in Tescos, bother I did not check price in corner shop and can not find receipt however they were probably a penny or two more things usually cost a bit more in corner shops.
So I made myself a cup of tea and opened the pack, I used the pull here tab this opened the pack of biscuits successfully.

These biscuits are round about 3 inches 70 cm in diameter. They are a golden brown colour and have MC VITIES THE ORIGINAL printed across the biscuit with the ear of wheat logo imprinted into the biscuit.

I take a bite it is hard, crisp once in your mouth it crumbles. The taste is slightly sweet and wheat it is a warming taste satisfying. Some might find it a little plain and boring, but when you want just a plain biscuit it is perfect.

I like these biscuits with a cup of tea, do I dunk Sometimes this biscuit does not go soggy and fall into your tea immediately.

As well as a sweet biscuit these digestives are good for eating with cheese.
McVities digestives are a good biscuit for children to decorate them adding cake decorations to.

I have used these biscuits too make a biscuit base for a cheesecake. Crush 250g of biscuits, melt 4oz butter then add biscuits and butter and press onto a tin base for your cheesecake

I have also made chocolate eggs with these biscuits crushing them adding to melted chocolate shaping them into eggs shapes.

I have seen these biscuits on sale in France and Spain I expect they are available in other countries too.
McVities digestives were first produced in 1892 followed by chocolate covered ones in 1925 Mc Vities biscuits now come in many varieties.
These biscuits contain animal fats so not suitable for vegetarians. Also not suitable for those with a wheat allergy luckily that does not include me as I do like these biscuits and they are a little better than own brand digestives, Thanks for reading, must go dunk another biscuit now.

Summary: A good biscuit

I always have some of these in the biscuit barrel. Occasionally I place one in the top of a mug and watch people's faces as they try to drink their tea.
