Way back when, when my morning sickness was at its worst, people kept telling me to try ginger biscuits as they would help. After trying stem ginger and not finding a lot of improvement, I decided I had nothing to lose. My other half automatically bought Mcvities brand which was the most expensive in the shop at 72p for 300g. The packet screamed out at me in big letters that these biscuits were now "even more gingery". Personally I didn't care how gingery they were if they were going to give me a bit of relief from feeling sick. The packaging is very simply done in orange and blue, with a nice big picture of a biscuit peeping out at ... Read the complete review

Mcvites Ginger nuts are a regular on my weekly shopping list. I have tried other brands but I always go back to McVites, as I think they stand head and shoulders above any of its competitors. Ginger of course has a variety of uses. It is a tropical plant grown in India, China and Jamaica. and apart from using it in cooking savoury dishes, there are many old wives' tales of using it in tea as a remedy for colds or drinking ginger ale/beer for an upset stomach. However, these biscuits can easily be spotted on the supermarket shelf in a bright orange tubular packet. They are foil wrapped for freshness and a 300g packet costs between 70p - 75p, ... I suffer from IBS and have days where I need something to eat that's got fat/calories in it, is easy to eat (i.e small) and will hopefully help to keep the sickness I get at bay and I find ginger nuts to be perfect for this. McVities Ginger Nuts come in a thick plastic wrapper which has perforated edges at both ends for ease of opening and there are around 30 biscuits per packet. A ginger nut biscuit is made from wheat flour, ginger extracts, molasses, sugar & vegetable oil and whilst the individual ingredients don't sound very nice when these have been mixed together and shaped in to a round ginger coloured biscuit it's absolutely delicious. ... McVities are one of the better known biscuit brands and as such you can usually reply on a certain quality in their products. McVities Ginger Nuts are no exception. Available in large 300g packets these biscuits are in brilliant bright orange coloured plastic packaging and really are eye catching. The usual McVities blue logo is first and foremost at the front of the packet, but then we see a nice picture of the biscuits contained within. At around 70p for the 300g pack, these aren't the world's most expensive Ginger biscuits, but then the McVities brand is a lot more than supermarket own brands. These are available at all the usual biscuit buying ... Read the complete review

Basically, I'm a serial dunker - If it will fit into a cup of tea (whatever 'it' may be), then into the tea it shalt boldly go. It's only been in recent years that I have come to accept 'ginger' biscuits; I used to avoid them like the plague due to their strong flavour and devious ways - yet now, I'm willing to dunk them like all the rest. McVities Ginger Nuts can be purchased from all major supermarkets, and cost 93p from Tesco and Asda for the 300g packet. Sainsbury's sell the biscuits for a slightly inflated 98p, and you can also buy the product from the majority of newsagents. Taste wise, the little orange biscuits are pleasant; not ...
