My pack of Apple and Sultana Crispy Slices was a "Managers Special" at Tesco, for 50p , yes only 50p! Its a standard size, consisting of 5 packs of 3 biscuits,, and in date. The biscuits are described as sultana and apple filling in a light crispy biscuit. They are low in fat, containig only 0.9g fat in each biscuit. In fact according ... Read the complete review

In one of my healthier moments I decided to try a packet of Go Ahead Crispy Slices, instead of my usual bumper bar of chocolate! Having tried other Go Ahead products over the years, I was holding out high hopes for this product and wasnt disappointed. Go Ahead is a well known healthy range of snacks produced by McVities, and is easily ... Read the complete review

Hmmmm. Go Ahead bars are supposed to be a diet option but beware! They are not the lowest calorie option. When you read the quick summary they seem to contain 56 kcal - how reasonable. However, this is ONLY ONE SLICE. The pack contains 3 slices and, trust me, you'd be mad to just eat one and then put the remaining 2 back in your bag for later. For ... Read the complete review

Go Ahead Crispy Slices These are a great favourite in our house and usually come as a pack of (5 x43g) 215g. They don't usually last very long. Made in Holland for McVities they are made in several different flavours. The one I'm reviewing today is Apple and Sultana but they do other flavours as well. Others I have seen are Chocolate ... After wandering up and down the biscuit aisle in my local supermarket today, trying to find something that tastes nice but doesn't bring with it the feelings of guilt, I stumble across this product! Mcvities Go Ahead Crispy Slices are part of the Go Ahead range that claim to be lower in fat and sugar than your normal naughties! The ... Read the complete review

I first saw these advertised on television and thought they looked similar to the healthy bars that Kellogs do with a mixture of fruit and yoghurt. I didn't think any more about them till I saw them in Sainsburys reduced from £1.49 to £1.39, admittedly not a huge reduction but I bought them nonetheless. I am sometimes a bit wary of healthy snack ... Read the complete review

On my diet I have been looking for things to replace naughty food. I found these go ahead bars on the shelves of morrisons. They cost around £1.20 at full price but I rarely buy anything at full price and these are often on special offer. My favourite flavour of these is apple and sultana. They taste the most sugary and sweet and ... Read the complete review

Everyone knows a diet should only be started on Monday. So after devouring a kitchen cupboard full fo junk food yesterday, I commenced my healthy eating regime today. Unfortunately, my lunch of a bowl of soup and a couple of Ryvitas, although quite healthy, proved to be rather unfilling so when a colleague suggested a trip to the hospital shop, ... We always buy these for our pack lunchboxes and they have come to be a regular feature in the pocket of my school bag or with my dancing stuff ready for a quick snack on the go (rather fitting with the name 'Go ahead!). You can buy them from most supermarkets, normally for under £1.50, and they come in a range of flavours such as Forest ... Read the complete review

Mcvities Go Ahead Crispy Slices..... Since the start of my healthier eating programme (I have been trying hard not to say the word diet for fear of running to the cupboard and stuffing myself with chocolate) I have discovered a lot of different foods that I actually really like and most of it has been far better for me than what I was ... This review is based on the apple and sultana variety of this low fat snack. As a fan of the Go Ahead raspberry bakes, I decided to give these a try when I saw them on the shelf in the supermarket. They are packaged in packs of three slices in sellophane wrappers. You get 5 packs of 3 to a packet, so basically you get 15 slices per packet, if that ... Read the complete review

I am always interested in low calorie, low fat snacks, so when I spotted McVities Go Ahead crispy slices on offer in Asda I decided to give them a try. McVities Go Ahead is a range of low fat, low calories biscuits. There are several varieties in the Go Ahead range including yoghurt-topped bars and various fruit slices. I love ... For starters I love the vibrant packaging that McVities's have chosen for their Go ahead orange slices. To the left of the packet we have the amber traffic light colour which in my eyes means think long and hard before you decide to put a Go Ahead into your mouth, but in the next breath the name of the biscuit clearly tells to to carry ... I thought I would try this as im such a fan of the go ahead range (and trying to be healthy). I liked the idea that go ahead were now making a range of savoury slices as opposed to their sweet slices. I sampled the cheese and tomato ones, which come in a pack of 4 individual packs (each containing three slices). The packet is red and orange, ... Read the complete review

Reading various other reviews of these biscuits I can see that opinions are varied. It seems to be a bit of a love it or hate scenario. I come down on the love it side. I didn't start eating them for any particular weight loss reason. I really chose them for convenience. They are well packaged and unless you put something heavy on top ... Read the complete review

Most people on here seem to like these, but I can't see why for the life of me! Firstly, i'll start with the reason most people would buy these, the branding of 'go ahead'. These snacks are targeted at people who are watching their weight and it's calorie content is well placed right on the front of the package. It does however read '60kcals ... Read the complete review

While I'm not dieting, a long commute to work (an hour sitting in traffic singing to the radio) means I like breakfast I can eat in the car. I picked up these when I was browsing a pound stretcher type shop in my university town because they generally have snack type food quite cheap. I saw a multipack of 5 packs of 3 for 69 pence, which I thought was a complete bargain considering the price of brand names, especially Go Ahead in the supermarkets, as I recently paid £3 for 12 soft bake ...
