I love Jaffa Cakes and I normally buy Tesco Value ones because they are a lot cheaper than McVities brand however when I saw the new McVities Jaffa Cakes Lemon & Lime I just had to try them. I'd already tried the blackcurrant flavour and was bitterly disappointed, so I was kind of dubious about trying these after all the original flavour was perfect so why mess with it right? As far as I know no other brand makes the lemon and lime flavoured ones so I thought it would be worth a try buying them even though they are a lot of money at 70p for just 12 when you can get 24 Tesco Value orange filling ones for 50p. They come in a rectangular box which looks ... Read the complete review

**Dooyoo have missed the name of the product. These Jaffa Cakes are Lemon and Lime flavour** Introduction ============ Another Saturday has passed and that means another shopping trip to my local Co-op. I was determined this week that I was not going to buy any treats for myself but yet again a display at the end of an aisle where these on BOGOF (Buy one get one free). I was trying desperately not to give into the offer when another idea popped in my mind, since this was a new product I could write a review about. That did it into the trolley they go. The Product =========== The box is the standard ... Read the complete review

My taste buds are a big fan of Jaffa Cakes, my waist line doesn't agree so much but that doesn't stop me buying them regularly, in fact probably a lot more than I should. I've tried most kinds of Jaffa cakes but still come back to the original McVities Jaffa Cake brand, for the simply reason that they are the best! There are now several different flavours of Jaffa Cake ranging from the original orange to lovely lemon and lime and beautiful blackcurrant, there's even a scrumptious strawberry flavour out now. However the product I am reviewing is the original orange flavour, my favourite by far. My first impression is that they are quite expensive at 70p for ... Read the complete review

Apart from the rather strange coloured box which combines some purple writing with a dark blue box these lemon jaffa cakes look from the outside pretty much identical to the standard orange flavour ones. These are made by McVities and while I'm not a fan of the orange ones as I find them a bit bland the lemon ones are much nicer to eat and have a lot more flavour. They are round in shape and have a soft sponge base to them, I find this base a bit bland and would prefer something a bit crunchier rather than the soft texture that you get, I guess this oftness makes them easier to eat for younger children as I always remember jaffa cakes as party food from my ... I first spotted these jaffa cakes at my local asda and thought i wonder what these taste like i normaly buy the orange jaffas because my son loves them and i chucked them in my trolley along with the new blackcurrant jaffas but thats another review. These jaffa cakes were on offer at 2 for £1.00. PACKAGING They come in the usual long rectangle blue box the only difference is that it has got lemon and lime in small letters and jaffa cakes in big green letters. It says on the box you get 12 jaffa cakes . SMELL When opening the packet and giving them a big sniff i couldnt really smell anything but the chocolate .I thought ... Read the complete review
