Since the chocolate digestive was first baked in 1925, biscuit makers have largely left it alone. For nearly 80 years, the choice in chocolate digestives was between either plain or milk chocolate or to go without. However, in the last year or two, McVitie’s have been expanding their digestive range at a rate that is almost frightening, coming after 80 years of everything being the same. First came the caramel and chocolate digestive, followed by the Chocolate and Orange digestive earlier this year.
