Any-one tried the mento and coke fountain? (Mentos Mints)

Advantages: Provide more than just a sweet

Disadvantages: Bit too hard on the outside to start with

Mentos are a great sweet however I personally prefer Trebor softmints. I personally find mentos to be a tad too hard on the outside, too hard to be chewed straight away in some circumstances. They do have a very good minty taste however once you get past the initial hard stage- perhaps a better taste than the softmints.

You can get mentos in a variety of flavours, the two flavours I prefer are the traditional minty flavour and the coca cola flavour which if you haven't tried it is really worth a go.

I'm sure someone will have mentioned this however mentos go a long way just being sweets. An awesome alternate use for them is dropping them into a big 2lr bottle of coke and they cause the coke to spectacularly erupt through the top. You just need to drop 6 or 7 mentos in, step back and watch the show. Type coke and mentos into youtube to seem some amazing videos showing this. Well worth it you have a bit of spare time, free space outside and fancy doing something novel and funny during the summer holidays.
