Advantages: None that I can think of...
Disadvantages: Taste cheap. Expensive.
The missus has been eyeing these treats up for a while now (she likes to try anything new that involves chocolate!), & after spotting them at Asda on offer at 60p a box last night, I decided to treat her to some...yes, I really am that romantic....
The box has a Japanese feel to it & we are told the snack is inspired by the game of 'Mikado' which is also known as 'pick up sticks'. On opening the box, we are greeted by a foil packet containing the sticks. (The packaging does in my opinion look quite cheap & old-fashioned & certainly doesn't scream quality in accordance with it's usual £1.99 price tag...yes, that's right...£1.99....).
The sticks are about 5" long & very, very thin. They consist of a long thin biscuit coated in milk chocolate (the end of the stick is devoid of chocolate, so that the consumer can hold the stick without getting messy). The picture on the box makes them look much thicker with a good depth of chocolate coating the sticks, but don't be fooled by it - these sticks are tiny with a mere scraping of chocolate. And not even decent quality chocolate. Think KP 'choc dip', but smaller & even cheaper...
Each stick weighs 2.3g & contains 11 calories & 0.5g fat. Please don't waste your daily calorie & fat allowance on these things (not to mention your monetary allowance...). They really aren't worth it.
Summary: A novelty item....but the novelty wears off VERY quickly...

- 11/08/09 I looked at these in Asda the other day but noticed that you don't get much for your money. Glad I didn't bother, thanks |
