I discovered this lovely lovely lovely chocolate more by luck than judgement and wooowww i am so glad i did, it is now by a country mile my favourite type of chocolate! I went to Sainsburys before a 10 hour shift at work thinking il have some chocolate to keep me going and went to look for the Sainsburys basic chocolate which is cheap and fairly nice but they didnt have any. The chocolate above was Milka, Milka alpine and Milka happy cow which was half price at 47p so i decided to give it a whirl. I first discovered 'Happy Cows' in Stuttgart when I was 15. Over in Germany (and I presume other German speaking countries) it's known as 'Kuhlflecken', which roughly translated means cow markings - an apt name for a product which resembles the coat patterns of your average cow! Milka isn't sold as widely in the UK as it is on the continent, where it's as common or even more so than Cadbury in places! You can only really get it here in a few varieties; I've seen Happy Cows, normal milk, caramel and once the biscuit sandwich one. After trying out the Milka Carmel variety in this range and absolutely loving it I just had to go back to Sainsbury's to grab another bar cos at the offer price of 47p a bar (for a 100g which is 15 chunks!) as I knew I had to grab one fast! There are several varieties available in this range and as I had tried the caramel I decided it was time to move and try something different (though I have to admit even though I did so I bought another caramel one too at the same time....well they were on offer lol).
