Advantages: Lovely chocolate - usually means you're on holiday somewhere too!
Disadvantages: Not widely available, although getting there
I love most kinds of chocolate and you will very rarely see me turn any
down! However I do have my favourites! Dairy Milk is certainly up there
however, for me, Milka chocolate is the one to beat.
I think my love of Milka chocolate first started when I started going on
holiday abroad and would wander round the duty free shops in the airport with my Mum and Dad - the now unmistakable purple cow was always somewhere in there, usually next to the Toblerone's! I had not seen this chocolate in UK shops before, and thought the little cow was quite quirky and so I bought myself (I was about 10 at the time) a little
Milka cow pencil case which was filled with little bite-size milka
chocolates! Fantastic!
My love for Milka stemmed from this and although I would still buy the
cute bags and pencil cases they produce with the Milka cow I usually buy
the packs of 3 now found in airport shops - this usually keeps me going
for a while.
Milka comes in all shapes and sizes - normal milka (milk chocolate),
Chocswing (chocolate and biscuit), Tricolade (white, milk and dark
chocolate), Hazelnut milka, Praline milka, Caramel milka and many many more - all of which are gorgeous! My favourite has to be the Tricolade one - an unusual concept - all 3 types of chocoalate put together!
Milka also comes in a chocolate roll cake version - I've only found
these in Mercado supermarkets in Spain - if anyone knows where else you can but them let me know! I normally put a few packs in my suitcase to bring home!
Milka has now started to creep into the UK, so I don't need to bring
quite so many bars back with me to keep me going til my next holiday,
however it is not available in many places - Woolworths used to sell it
(RIP Woolworths!) I have since seen it in Sainsburys but it is still
relatively hard to find.
Overall, as much as I like Dairy Milk and Cadbury's chocolate, Milka is
my favourite by far! It may be cos it reminds me of holidays, however I
do think it is a bit lighter chocolate and extremely yummy!!
Summary: A lovely creamy and light chocolate available in various forms
