Advantages: Great taste, less calories
Disadvantages: not a lot
**Introduction**
Having just come back from Tesco Express with some Mini Babybel Light I decided that For my latest review I have chosen to do a review on one of my favourite snacks. I probably first tried this cheese about six or seven years ago and have bought many packs over those years as it is so versatile. That's enough of an intro So here's my review of the Mini Babybel Light cheese.
**Babybel Light**
As you probably know, Original and Light Babybel are made with the hugely popular Dutch Cheese Edam. The cheese is wrapped in a red wax which has two little stripes to peel the wax off. As you peel this red wax off you begin to see the pale yellow cheese. It does not have a strong scent but if you put your nose near it you will get the distinctive edam smell which is one of the nice smelling types of cheese.
**The Taste**
Now to the all impotant taste test and I am happy to say that The taste of this cheese is really creamy and is as nice as a lot of the Edam you will find near these smaller options. It is best eaten cold straight from the fridge as that is when you get the best taste. This is one of the best tasting cheeses I have had and I would recommend it to anyone who likes cheese. I prefer the taste of this rather than the Original Babybel.
**What does it go with?**
This cheese is one of the most versatile as It works well with a variety of sandwich fillings aswell as with Pasta and salads. I normally have it as a light snack as it's so easy to eat and is just the right size. I particularly like this cheese in a sandwich or roll with Ham as it goes together very well indeed and even better than most other cheeses do already. This is a very versatile little cheese. I Feel These are more versatile than the original Babybel.
**Price**
You can find this cheese in packs of six and twelve. The pack of six can be bought for £1.58 which may seem a little expensive compared to other cheeses but you can find it cheaper in a sale quite often and the 12 pack can be bought for around £2.88 but again they can often be found for quite a bit cheaper in various sales or buy one get one free like offers so look around for the best deal if you buy these regularly.
**Overall**
Now we come to the final bit of the review and if the previous sections have not persuaded you then here goes. This is a great little cheese snack and at around only 40 calories per cheese it has far less calories than most cheese. If you have not tried this cheese yet then give it a go especially if you like Edam and are looking for a healthy snack.
Summary: Read review.
