Overcook them just a bit and they'll got hard like cardboard though, so check them regularly by sticking a fork in them to see how hard they are. The toppings vary, but they are all generously laid out. The ingredients are as good as any take-away pizza, and in particular the meat based ones have some lovely bits of bacon on them. Cheese is always generous, and the toppings are spread equally apart. There must be half a dozen flavours, and we've tried mos...more

Premium Review Morrison's Fresh Pizza: Cheap and tasty - just like your wife! (308 words)

Morrison's have a lovely range of pizzas that are made in store. For a while, they would cook them and box them up for you too, but now they've dropped that service, and you can find them in the fridges, freshly made and ready to take home. They come in thin and crispy or deep pan bases. I would have to say that the thin and crispy is so thin by the time it's cooked that it's hardly worth it. It's much better to get the deep pan. The bases are made of fresh dough, and if you cook them just right they'll be perfect. A few years a go our local Morrisons set up an area in the store where they made freshly cooked pizzas on site. You could also have it cooked for you in the great, big oven that was behind them whilst you were shopping and return at the end to collect it. Now I am not joking when I say that these are the best pizza's I have ever tasted so when they shut down the big ovens a few months later I was pretty gutted. Fortunately they didn't stop making the pizza's they just stopped cooking them and if you live in Plymouth then you will regularly see me paying for one or two of ...  Read the complete review

Recently I had my brother and his family as house guests. Being a Saterday night I ordered from a very well known national pizza delivery company. For 4 adults and 3 kids I spent over £50 and the pizza's weren't even that nice! Had I the foresight, I would have visited Morrison's beforehand. Morrison's, in my opinion, create and stock the best fresh pizza. Far superior than any take away pizza company. Part of their 'Market Street' Morrison's fresh Pizza usually appear as you first walk into a Morrison's store., next to the fresh salad selection. Their Pizza, freshly made that day, if not in the last couple of hours, comes ...  Read the complete review
