 ... delicious, so thats what I chose. The come in a pack of 4 and to look at they very much resemble an ordinary hot cross bun. These were a nice golden colour, with the standard white cross and a good glaze. You can see plenty of sultanas in there, but no sign of any apple yet. They are also a good size, enough for a small lunch or supper. Opening the packet I could definitely smell the cinnamon. They smelt very fresh too. OK, so hot cross buns are available all year round nowadays, however I am really strict about only eating seasonal foods at the right time. I won't buy a mince pie before December, and I never consider buying hot cross buns at any other time than Easter. Seeing them piled high in the bakery section at Morrisons recently I decided we were near enough to Easter to be tempted. Amazingly though theres quite a large selection of hot cross buns now. No longer just standard I was faced with a decision, and the apple and cinnamon ones sounded delicious, so thats what I chose.
