Advantages: lovely quick and easy to prepare in less than 10 minutes
Disadvantages: quite hot when they come out from the grill
As you know I have a thing about cheese and chocolate. Well today I am writing about these lovely little cheese and bacon grills.
They come in packs of four and are packed in a plastic clear container with a simple stickon label on the front. Giving you a clear view of the items for sale. There is on some packs a slide over cardboard cover too which I do not think is absolutely necessary especially in this day and age of recycling.
The items inside are four small squares of bacon which I think has been reformed from bits and cheese slices on the top covered in breadcrumbs.
They do not give off any real aroma until they are put under the grill which is my preferred way of cooking these.
Then you get a gentle smell of hot bacon and cheese wafting around the room, it smells delicious and gets the tastebuds going a treat.
Tasting these I would advise that you let them cool down a little due to the hot cheese but once you cannot wait any longer and pop a piece into your mouth the flavours burst out and give you a lovely flavour of bacon and cheese with a coating of crisp breadcrumbs which is simply delicious.
You can serve these with chips or new potatoes and peas. or with a crispy green salad.
I love these for a light meal and would suggest that if you are feeding a family of four you would need two packs. But at £1.49 a pack and sometimes available on a buy one get one free they are very good value.
Summary: would reccommend them for a struggling family budget cheap and tasty
