When we had friends staying for a few days I needed to get a few different items for the freezer as one of the evenings we were having a mini party which was a sort of social event rather than a wild drink fuelled affair so I had decided to do a mini buffett for the evening.

These mini eclairs were ideal as finger food as they are quite small and in the box contained twenty four eclairs all set out in a plastic tray so once removed from the packaging they can stay in the tray for the hour it takes them to defrost.

They certainly looked nice enough, just a smallr version of a normal eclair wit a healthy layer of chocolate on the top however they did not taste as nice as they looked as overall it was a rather bland taste. I found the filo pastry rather soggy and the cream filling really had no discernable flavour to it, it was just cold in yopur mouth and nothing more, it was not as if they had not had enough time to defrost as they were out for a good couple of hours before being eaten.

The chocolate coating was nie enough and has a smooth taste to it but was nothing special, overall this sort of product looks better on the table than it actually tastes and is not something I would recommend.
