Whichever of the main supermarkets I happen to be shopping in, I always buy a packet of their fresh filled donuts when I know my granddaughters' are coming or if I'm expecting visitors. I've never really had a particular favourite as one donut is very much like another in my opinion, but recently I tried a Morrisons fresh raspberry donut and have to say they are easily the best of the lot. Morrisons use icing sugar on their plump and wonderfully browned donuts, this makes them feel nice and sticky while not being quite so sickly sweet as the fine granulated sugar the other supermarkets use. The texture of the donut itself is perfect, and this is ... Read the complete review

I have recently reviewed the fresh Morrisons pizza's that they make on sight and it got me to thinking about how amazing the fresh donuts they have instore, are too. A bit of a theme developing here with the old Morrisons! I would say that the fresh donuts at Morrisons are probably the best I've ever tasted. They really are out of this world and if you eat them straight away then they are even better. They come in a few flavours and these are the well-known raspberry, apple and custard. The costing is different depending on which pack that you buy but you can get a small 2 pack and a 5 pack but quite often they are on offer so you have an excuse to ... Read the complete review

I can be a sucker for anything that resembles cake. Usually I save these indulgences for when I get together with friends and we have a coffee with something sweet. Monday saw one of these occasions, and being the naughty person that I am, I popped into Morrison's on the way to see the girls and bought some doughnuts along with some other cakes. When it comes to doughnuts, I only really like them filled with raspberry jam. I wouldn't call myself a traditional person, but I look at a doughnut with custard or apple in them and they just don't seem right. You can buy doughnuts in Morrison's in a bag of two for 29p or a pack of five for 59p. These are ... Read the complete review

I am eating one of these doughnuts for my breakfast as I type this review. All supermarkets have their own brand of jam filled doughnuts but Morrisons version are different and im my opinion the best. Most doughnuts are covered in sugar, sticky on your hands and not so good for your teeth! These have a light sprinkling of icing sugar; still not the healthiest thing I know but much better than tonnes of sugar. The icing sugar doesn't have an overpowering sweetness like sugar does so doesn't distract from the taste of the dough and jam either. Another plus point is the jam itself, so tasty and fruity; again not too sugary. The ... Read the complete review

I have a bit of a reputation as being rather partial to Donuts both at work and at home. I love them. When my sister visits she usually brings donuts with her and my colleagues will usually get me a donut when its birthday time and cakes are the order of the day. Woe betide anyone who nicks my donut they will be reprimanded quite harshly by my colleagues. I am always on the look out for decent donuts and I have recently come across the best donuts I have ever tasted and none so far have reached this kind of perfection until now. I have tried donuts from all the major supermarkets local bakeries and other outlets. You name them I have probably tried ... Read the complete review
