... have noticed you do need to be careful about which packaging to purchase if you want the best value!! Athough the prices do fluctuate a little, I find that it is often cheaper to buy two smaller bottles than it is to buy one larger bottle which you would imagine to be the better way to buy it!!! The Salad Cream itself is a good consistency, not too thick and not too runny, it runs out onto your plate, bread salad etc at a nice pace making it nice and easy to get just the right amount (plenty). It is a light creamy yell...more

Premium Review Morrisons Salad Cream: Good Product, Good Price - Its my Cream of the crop (570 words)

My girlfriend and I are huge fan of sauce...no I'm not talking Frankie Howerd in Up Pompei...I'm talking condiments!!! Both of us love any kind of sauce and make sure that our kitchen cupboard is well stocked with them. One of my particular favourites is and always has been Salad Cream. In my opinion it is far superior to Mayo (though there are odd occassions when mayo is definitely required - for example in left over turkey and lettuce sandwiches at christmas...). I do like the creaminess of Mayo but find it rather lacking is a lot of circumstances. I think the key to Salad Cream is the fact that it is essentially a combination of the ...  Read the complete review

This is a review of Morrisons EXTRA LIGHT Salad Cream only. It is made by Morrisons and is stood right next to the "Morrisons Salad Cream" on the shelves in store. My Mum was constantly on a diet and as such drummed it into me to only every buy the lightest most low fat versions of sauces. Mr Norton loves full fat mayonnaise and salad cream but I shudder every time he buys it as I know how full of fat they both are and having suffered from various eating disorders when I was younger (am now recovered bar the odd bad day or week, but some things still freak me out like full fat mayo!) . I insist on buying Morrisons EXTRA LIGHT (not Light- this is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Morrisons Salad Cream: Sweet vinegary salad cream on your chips? (422 words)

In Morrisons last week they were selling bottles of their own brand salad cream cheaply, I can't remember what I paid now but it was even cheaper than its usual price of 69p which should have set warning bells ringing I know but when it comes to salad cream I'm by no means an expert when it comes to salad cream as I don't eat it very often at all. In fact I cannot remember the last time I bought it and can only guess that it was made by Heinz. The first thing I noticed when I went to squeeze some on my salad and my granddaughters' chips was how runny it is, it's not watery or anything like that but I was hoping for a more creamy looking salad cream. The ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review High in calories, low in taste (993 words)

Who can live without salad cream eh? I know I'll get a flurry of answers on this one lol Me though, well I love it! Course on salad but on chips, sandwiches anything really, I'm not fussy if I'm in the mood for it. I find I have to be in the mood of course and with such a huge variety of different sauces in my house I don't have this all the time. I like variety when it comes to my saucy choices! When it comes to salad cream I've always held the opinion nothing beats Heinz. Up until recently we had nothing but Heinz salad cream come through the door. In recent times I think a lot of us are trying to tighten our belts somewhat and I have noticed when it comes ...  Read the complete review
