I've started doing a little shopping in Morrisons and when I saw these Cod, Spinach and Gruyere Fishcakes I just had to buy some to sample as they looked absolutely delicious in the packet. After cooking for around 20 minutes I was surprised at the lack of aroma coming from the oven as previous fishcakes I've bought from Morrisons have had a delicious small while in the oven. No matter, I'd bought them to eat not to smell! Unfortunately there is little flavour there either. There's a good amount of cod in the fishcake and it's cut into fairly chunky pieces which made the fishcake satisfying and filling, but the problem is the other two ingredients ... I absolutely love and adore fishcakes! I'm fussy when it comes to food and regularly go off things, shut up shop and won't eat but the things that always tempt me to wolf things down are fishcakes for some bizarre reason. As a result of that and living at home my Mother always makes sure some are stashed in our freezer for me and tries to pick up different ones as much as possible to try and get me excited with and last week she got me a box of these and excited I was lol!
