The soft yolk melted into the crumpet and I'd never have thought it could taste so good, I've had it before but it was on a cheapo Asda crumpet and it just wasn't the same because the crumpet was naff and hard. Give Mothers Pride crumpets ago because even though their bread is manky I reckon they've found their talents with crumpets!...more

These are the only brand of crumpets that they sell in Cooltrader now, the packet I got was red but it's the same product as Dooyoo have got for their picture. You get 8 crumpets for 69p and they are wicked crumpets that are proper tasty and are loads better than Kingsmill crumpets, but not as good as Warburtons. The crumpets are lovely and soft, they've got a doughy texture and a wicked fresh flavour. I toasted mine and put butter on them and when the butter soaked into the crumpet they were absolutely delish! One of my friends recently mentioned to me that she had had crumpets for her breakfast that morning and I ended up craving for some myself. I'm not much of a breakfast person so I dont generally buy anything other than bread or a box of cereal. I used to have crumpets when I was little but then I remember them as pikelets as I am from down south. Anyway I went to Morrisons and headed for the bread aisle and found just what I was looking for. I ended up buying 2 packets of 8 Mothers Pride crumpets they were on offer buy two packets for a £1.00.
