Advantages: Easy to cook, just pop in oven and done, lovely taste, filling

Disadvantages: Addictive

As its Sunday the day of roast dinners, sausage and mash and other gorgeous comfort foods i thought i would review Mr Brains Faggots as they are one of my favourite foods, so filling and comforting.

Mr Brains Faggots come in 3 pack sizes of 2, 4 or 6 Faggots which is good as means no waste if you live on your own and only want 2 or you can buy a pack of 6 to feed the family.

I personally always buy the 4 pack and eat all 4 myself with a helping of mashed potato.

Mr Brains Faggots are readily available from all supermarkets and frozen food outlets, i buy mine from Iceland at £1 for a 4 pack.

There are 2 ways of cooking this product, you can cook them in the oven for approx 30 - 40 minutes at 230c or cook in the microwave for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through.

I prefer to cook them in the oven as am normally cooking my other half a toad in the hole at the same time, i have never used the microwave option not sure how they would turn out.

The faggots are really meaty and a good size and have a nice hint of onion them and the gravy they are cooked in is always smooth and goes lovely with mash and peas, i always have a lovely warm feeling after eating this meal.

The ingredients of the faggots is below:

Water, Pork 11% (Pork Liver, Pork), Pork Rind, Rusk, Onion, Wheatflour, Lard, Salt, Modified Waxy Maize Starch, Tomato Purée, Flavourings, Colour (E150c), Sugar, Herbs, Spices

If you love good traditional british roasts etc then i highly recommend this great comfort food.

Summary: A great winter comfort food.

To solve the problem of not enough gravy they have new and impoved faggots with "more sauce" Yeah consumers win. I have bought the new faggots and they are perfect plenty of gravy
