I didn't think I'd tried these before so when I saw them on offer I decided that the time had come to change that.... Packaging: The slices comes are packed in plastic trays which, in turn are packed in an outer paper carton. The carton is recyclable & is a mixture of red and pink colours. The "Mr. Kipling" logo is on the front, along with the name & a picture of a pair of the Angel Slices. The back of the carton lists the ingredients, allergy advice, nutritional information & the Mr. Kipling's quality guarantee. There are also pictures of Mr. Kipling's French Fancies and Mr. Kipling's Cherry Bakewells. The ... Read the complete review

Any regular readers of my reviews will be aware by now that I have a horrendous sweet tooth and am a huge lover of biscuits, cakes and sweeties. It was whilst I was picking up some shopping in my local Asda supermarket that I noticed a selection of cakes from the 'Mr Kipling' range were on a special offer, at the low cost of £1 per box. I immediately searched for a box of my beloved 'French Fancies' but of course these weren't included in the offer (just my luck) so I instead picked up a box of the delicious looking 'Angel Slices' to give them a bit of a try. As I hadn't tried this particular offering from the Mr Kipling range of ... Read the complete review

Mr Kipling's make the best cakes on the market, with high quality and a great taste. These are no exception, with a sweet taste, great texture but this makes it more expensive than alternative brands, can this be justified? Yes! The packaging is very bright, and easy to recognise on the shelf. It has big text that is easy to read, and the product is always fresh. It can be opened easily, and in my view, much better than other Mr Kipling products as they are individually packed with 2 in each case, so they are always fresh and you don't need another container if you don't want to eat the left overs straight away. They are expensive compared to ... Read the complete review

So far my mother's insistence to purchase and then thrust upon me a variety of Mr Kipling cakes has been bearable, until the latest cake she thrust upon me, Mr Kipling Angel Slices As most of you are well aware I'm having a pretty rough time with "all day" pregnancy sickness rich tea biscuits are not doing the trick at all, and I am completely red up of ginger nuts. So every time I have visited my mother she has pulled out a different pack of Mr Kipling cakes for me to try with a cup of tea. Let's just say the Mr Kipling Angel Cake Slices did not help my problem in anyway and I will be steering clear from these at all costs. ... Read the complete review

I wanted something sweety for after my tea Saturday night and didn't want the same old chocolate so I had a quick nose in Iceland. I scanned the shelves full of cakes and biscuits and a baby pink box caught my eye. Anything Pink catches my eye to be honest. I thought it was french fancies at first as the box is a similar colour to those, but then realised the box is a slight bit longer and the width is lessened too. It said Mr Kipling in the corner, Angel slices in the middle with a ever so convenient Halo over the word Angel. Next to this there is a picture of one of these slices which looks real appetising. On top of all this pink girlyness which ... Read the complete review
