I didn't think I'd tried these before so when I saw them on offer I decided that the time had come to change that.... Packaging: The slices comes are packed in plastic trays which, in turn are packed in an outer paper carton. The carton is recyclable & is a mixture of red and pink colours. The "Mr. ... PACKAGING These come in a long cardboard box with various different colours of pink occupying the front of it. :Angel slices" is written on the front of it and the word "angel" is written in quite fancy writing with a halo above the letter a. Also written on the front it tells you that it has "no artificial ... Read the complete review

Mr Kiplins angel slices are one of my favourite cake type products from the Mr Kiplins range of foods, and they do have a fair big range too. I think most people have tried those angel cakes that you can get from various places, which have three different layers of sponge and then the icing in the middle, well this takes on that kind of concept ... Any regular readers of my reviews will be aware by now that I have a horrendous sweet tooth and am a huge lover of biscuits, cakes and sweeties. It was whilst I was picking up some shopping in my local Asda supermarket that I noticed a selection of cakes from the 'Mr Kipling' range were on a special offer, at the low cost of £1 per ... I was looking for something nice and sweet for after my dinner tonight when in Sainsbury's I noticed they had the range of Mr Kipling cakes on special offer at just £1 a box. I chose the one which I know is the sweetest of the lot, Angel Slices. These cakes are absolutely lovely. They always put me in mind of Battenburg because of the ... Read the complete review

Mr Kipling's make the best cakes on the market, with high quality and a great taste. These are no exception, with a sweet taste, great texture but this makes it more expensive than alternative brands, can this be justified? Yes! The packaging is very bright, and easy to recognise on the shelf. It has big text that is easy to read, and ... Read the complete review

So far my mother's insistence to purchase and then thrust upon me a variety of Mr Kipling cakes has been bearable, until the latest cake she thrust upon me, Mr Kipling Angel Slices As most of you are well aware I'm having a pretty rough time with "all day" pregnancy sickness rich tea biscuits are not doing the trick at all, and I am ... Angel Slices are one of the most sickly sweet, gaudy, sugary cake slices that Mr Kipling produce. The icing is gooey and gets stuck to your fingers and underneath that there are two slabs of yellow and pink sponge, cemented together with vanilla cream. The individual slices aren't particularly big, about the size of two penguin biscuits stacked. ... Read the complete review

Working in an office with lots of people means lots of birthdays and that means lots of cakes. Whilst we all enjoy an occasional cream bun this can sometimes get a bit much and it can be a relief when the brithday girl decides to just nip to the supermarket and pick up a few boxes of Mr Kipling's finest off the shelf. That's what happened today ... Read the complete review

I had a few of these today and I forgot how nice they are. Since there was a Buffet at work today this meant no sitting in the cafe eating sandwiches. Yes instead it was all about the Crisps and Cakes. These cost £1 in Asda just now, but they normally cost about £1.45 per pack. You get 6 slices in the box and they are packaged in 2's in ... Mr Kipling Angel Slices are a bit expensive for my liking at £1.35 for a packet of six slices. That might sound okay when you think of it in terms of 23p per slice, but you have to appreciate here that you need to eat two at a time to feel like you've had anything to eat at all! It doesn't help that they package these in little twin ... Read the complete review

I wanted something sweety for after my tea Saturday night and didn't want the same old chocolate so I had a quick nose in Iceland. I scanned the shelves full of cakes and biscuits and a baby pink box caught my eye. Anything Pink catches my eye to be honest. I thought it was french fancies at first as the box is a similar colour to ... Read the complete review

As far as cakes go, Mr Kipling is probably the best known brand in the UK, with a pretty comprehensive range being sold in all the big supermarkets. I am usually drawn to the 'slices' range. This is a range of cakes which come in slices - 3 packs of 2 slices in a box, for a total of 6 slices. The range includes lemon, bakewell, ... Read the complete review

As embarassing as it is to admit i was originally attracted to trying these cakes as they are pink and girly (sorry!!!) but I am now proud of my cliche girlyness as I discovered the most amazing cakes EVER!!! You cannot beat a nice piece of cake or biscuit with your mid morning cuppa, the only thing you need to decide is which one? In our house we don't buy much cakes, biscuits or sweets but we will have the odd packet or two for when the sweet cravings set in. This week we have Mr kipling angel slices which we brought from Tesco for ... Read the complete review

Mr Kiplings is without a doubt one of the createst confectionary manufacturers around. Their products are always up to scratch, a heavenly bite in each. A few years ago, I became addicted to their Angel Slices! Thankfully, I am off this 'addiction; now, but what made them so special? The first thing that attracted me to Angel Slices was ... These cakes are so worth being naughty for. I have always ate one of these at somebody elses house as I wouldn't trust myself with a full box. Well when I did my weekly shop at Asda last night, they were on special for just £1 a box so I thought I would treat myself and the hubby. The box is very eye catching with pink hints ... Mr Kipling seems to be having a bit of a revival in my house at the moment. I think this is partially due to me who has been spending hours reading some very complementary reviews on Dooyoo about them. This a regular on our shopping list as they are just so unbelivably tasty! I have bought a lot of products as a result of reading reviews of them on Dooyoo and Mr Kipling Angel Slices are the latest! I read a review of these last week or the week before, and picked a box up a few days ago in ASDA. These are basically mini slices of angel layer cake with icing on the top.
