I didn't think I'd tried these before so when I saw them on offer I decided that the time had come to change that.... Packaging: The slices comes are packed in plastic trays which, in turn are packed in an outer paper carton. The carton is recyclable & is a mixture of red and green colours. The "Mr. Kipling" logo is on the front, along with the name & a picture of a pair of the Country Slices. The back of the carton lists the ingredients, allergy advice, nutritional information & the Mr. Kipling's quality guarantee. There are also pictures of Mr. Kipling's Bakewell Slices and Mr. Kipling's Bramley Apple Pies. ... Read the complete review

If you wanted you could try and kid yourself that these are healthy after all they are packed with fruit in the form of sultanas and raisens however at 123 calories per small slice it is very easy to gobble down two of these with a cup of tea and then you are indulging in some serious calorie intake. The other problem is that actually in the tastedepartment they are a bit bland tasting and certainl are nothing special, for a calorie laden treat there are a lot better options out there if you want to indulge your sweet tooth. The top of these cakes are laden with sugar and then you have a slightly moist sponge with sultanas and raisensinside of it, ... Read the complete review

You know what it's like - you go to the shop just for one or two items and end up coming out laden down with shopping. I have been guilty of this for far too long and am spending way too much money so when I popped into Iceland recently for some milk I did very well of only buying what I'd gone in for. Well almost. Nearly. As I stood at the till waiting to pay, my eyes wandered to the strategically placed items perched right next to me and spotted these Mr Kipling Country Slices.. Having been far too weak willed I succumbed and bought a pack after all they were only £1.. Damn you Mr Kipling! The Product~ I am not a huge lover ... Read the complete review

Yep you have guessed it, another Mr Kipling cake review. Believe it or not Mother Lools really has purchased nearly every possible variety of Mr Kipling cakes. Being the obliging daughter I am being polite and try to (in moderation) sample these with a cup if (decaf) tea. The latest cup of tea and cake experience was of Mr Kipling Country Slices. ***Packaging*** The Mr Kipling Country Slices come in a long rectangular cardboard outer box. The box is bright green with a swirl of bright yellow with Country Slices written on the front of the box. The Mr Kipling branding stands out as this is bright red and there is also an image of a Country ... Read the complete review
