Welcome to my quirky little review on cakes! Ok everyone has heard of MR Kipling right? Go on of course you have he`s the guy that bakes exceedingly good cakes, You with me now? Right well of all the cakes the afore mentioned MR Kipling bakes his French fancies are without doubt the best. A pink coloured box which inside contains a cellophane covered white cardboard tray, on the tray lays 8 beautifully coloured delicious MR Kipling French fancies. My favourite is the brown chocolate flavoured one but they are all delicious. There are three colours in total the brown chocolate flavoured one I have just mentioned, a pink fondant icing one and a ... Read the complete review

Oh man, French Fancies how I adore thee! The sponge part is always soft and light, although if you try to stuff the whole thing in your mouth then it gets a bit difficult to deal with. The outer icing is very sugary and sweet, especially the pink ones, and so with the fondant icing in the little lump on top it can be excessively sweet. But despite the excessive sweetness they are still delicious! I highly recommend only eating one per day. I used to take one in my lunch box to work, so I would have a sandwich, packet of crisps, a small scotch egg and then a French Fancy for dessert. They're superb value for money! And the best ... Yes, he does make exceedingly good cakes, and none more so than the simply French Fancy. Good old Mr Kipling does it again... The humble French Fancy is a tiny sponge cake covered in flavoured fondant icing with a vanilla cream top. The packs by Mr Kipling come in numbers of eight, with three different flavours. A simple bit of maths tells you then that the numbers do go together and unfortunately one flavour has a mere two makes compared to the others which have three. The flavours are chocolate, strawberry and lemon, and in my personal opinion that's the order of preference - starting worse and getting better. But of course, sods law means that the yellow ... The other day I went on a short hike and a picnic with my boyfriend and he told me he was bringing along a special treat for us. We had our lunch and then he brought out a box of these Mr. Kipling's French Fancies. These are one of his favourite desserts, he told me, and he couldn't wait for me to give them a try. These come in a package of 8 fancies and there are 3 different flavours. The box is decorated with pictures that represent the fancies (although te fancies look much bigger in the pictures on the box, of course!). The three flavours of fancies are chocolate (brown), lemon (yellow), and plain (pink). French Fancies consist of a bit of ... Read the complete review

I cannot go on enough about how i completely love Mr Kipling products! Maybe its because im on a diet and the thought of eating them thats making my mouth water, but im nearly dribbling over my keyboard! Popular in the marketplace, most people have heard of Mr Kiplings "Exceedingly Good Cakes" and thats exactly what they are. The french fanceis range comes in different flavours and colours. I always try to pick at least one of each colour as they are so hard to resist. They come in cute little fancy paper cases and when you bite into them, they completely melt in your mouth! They are gorgeous, taste sweet and creamy and are lovely with a ... Read the complete review
