Introduction

My dad absolutely loves these (well, used to) and so my mum buys them every Thursday after work when she does her weekly shopping.

I tend to eat more of them than my dad does (maybe that is why he doesn?t eat that many, he can?t)!! I find that rather amusing seeing as they are brought for him and then I eat them!! So I suppose you can tell I like them ? very much indeed!!

On the packet claims they are exceedingly good. That they are, exceedingly good indeed!! Great even!!

What it is

What are lemon slices? Well they are lemon ? flavoured slices topped with lemon ? water ? icing. These exceedingly good cakes are made by Mr. Kipling, who are (apparently) committed to baking the finest quality cakes, and they also wish for you to enjoy these slices in perfect condition.

Taste

Well I can not deny that these are lovely. They obviously taste lemony. And you are probably thinking they are too lemony, but they aren?t ? they have the right amount of lemon flavour in them. And that is just the top!!

The sponge is equally as lovely. It is nice and soft. It is not dry and horrible or soggy it slap bang in the middle (that being LOVELY)!! Yet again I am sorry but the slices may contain nut traces.

Packet

Well the main colours are red and yellow I don?t know why it?s red but I know why they are yellow ? lemons are yellow. (See I am very clever)!!

On the top of the packet it says M Kipling in bulging letters. Beneath that it says Exceedingly Good, and then there is a hole in the packet so that you can see the two middle slices. It also says 6 lemon slices and in the top right hand corner it says TWIN WRAPPED FOR FRESHNESS. There is also a picture of a half ? eaten slice!!

On the bottom, as usual there is a load of nutritional information about these l
ush cake slices. There is an advertisement for 6 almond slices (Pastry bases topped with Raspberry flavoured Plum Jam, almond flavoured cake and flaked almonds). But let?s not wander away from the subject shall we!!

The actual slices them selves are twin wrapped for freshness. They have a peachy coloured sponge with white icing that has yellow stripes on it. They come in packets of 6, 3 separate cases. They come in a grey ? coloured case with a see ? through wrap around it.

Conclusion

I also have some more information. The product needs to be stored in a cool dry place. It also needs to be placed flat ? they also last a long time.

Now I will leave you to decide on whether or not you are going to buy this gorgeous product. I strongly suggest you do buy it. They do make quite a good snack if you are feeling just a little bit peckish. Well I hope I help
ed.

These are 98 pence at asda.
