... this too. I personally think these are not quite as good as the others in their range. Anyone can make a Victoria sponge and they do, such as supermarket owns brands and Llyons. The good thing with Mr Kipling is the separation and individual wrapping technique, which you cant really achieve with the normal round cake version. A great little cake for lunchboxes or for a snack , or for work. So give them a try you may find out that you like them! These are nice , but come at a high price cmopared to supermarkets and other...more

Premium Review Mr Kipling Victoria Slices: Exceedingly Victorias! (252 words)

Mr Kipling is one of the finest cake makers around, I've yet to find confectionary of his that is to disappoint. The latest I have tried is none other than the Victoria Slice. The Victoria Slices come in a pack of six, wrapped in groups of two. When you take one out of its plastic wrapping, you'll detect a hint of raspberry aroma, though mainly the soft vanilla sponge. Holding it in your hand, the sponge about the length of your palm, the tempation takes control. Biting into the slice, you will be surprised at how soft it is! The sponge layer has a strong vanilla flavour, a delight, and is light and fluffy too. Sinking through the jam layer, the ...  Read the complete review

These are brilliant, another classic from Mr Kipling. They have a great taste, texture and are super moist. Everyone will love them. They are high quality but this comes at a cost, more expensive than alternative brands, the must be great to justify it. They are. The packaging is very easy to notice on the super market shelf, as it is very bright. The big image makes them look very delicious and your mouth will start to water as you look at it. The text is big, making it clear and easy to read. The packet is easy to open, and they are always fresh. It's also very good that they are individually wrapped, so you can savour them! However, the packaging ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mr Kipling Victoria Slices: FORGOT THESE EXISTED (301 words)

Continuing on the quest to try all the Mr Kipling range I came across these. I forgot you got these, as I don't think they are stocked as well as the others in the range but they are really yummy. I found these in my local Co-op, and paid £1.52 for them. A bit dearer than Asda/Tesco price, but I couldn't see them in there anyway. You get 6 in the box and they are packaged in 2's. The packaging is alright. The individual slices are in little plastic trays and they have cellophane over them, so easy enough to pop in your bag and eat on the move. The box is mostly a red colour and has a couple of pictures of the Slices on the fron. You can see the ...  Read the complete review

The Victoria sponge has been a famous cake for years and Mr Kipling have taken the cake and made neat slices for us to enjoy. First off the packaging is red with the Mr Kipling logo clearly visible along with the cakes name. Very eye catching. Now open the box and you will notice 3 small plastic trays individually wrapped. Each tray holds two slices of Victoria sponge. This is a great idea to prevent the cakes or cake from going stale. The Victoria sponge fingers/slices are lovely light vanilla sponge cakes with a really tasty raspberry jam. Both the sponge and jam smell great as you will notice upon opening the packet. But also taste great too. If ...  Read the complete review
