At the moment I have been keeping away from snacks and cakes and trying to just stick to healthy eating. However, when I passed the cake aisle I couldn't help but scan the Mr Kipling boxes and before I knew it I realised I hadn't actually had anything sweet in a while. I have always loved Mr Kipling cakes and so it was going to be a treat to myself to get some Viennese Whirls. I do love a lot of the range but I have just always been a fan of the Viennese Whirls more so than anything and they didn't actually seem too pricey either. I would much rather eat something like these than eat a whole bar of Cadbury's chocolate as that would make me feel ill. In 1965 ... Read the complete review

We had never tried mr kiplings viennese whirls before but when i saw them on buy one get one free at morrisons i couldnt resist trying them. They concist of two shortcake biscuit type pieces with a strawberry jam and cream layer in the middle. I am not normally a fan of short cake as i usually find it to be very dry and not very sweet, this was different, the short cake is nicely moist but not too wet, just enough to allow the short cake to crumble nicely in your mouth but not dry your mouth out completley. Although the shortcake on these is not too sweet the jam and cream in the middle is very sweet, almost sickly sweet which compensates ... Read the complete review

My dad always used to hide some of his goodies from me as he is a stickler for 'saving them for later' but Jemma here always managed to find them in his not so secret hiding places. I remember the day I found his stash of viennese whirls like it was yesterday, they were dreamy! My good memory was brought back to me the other day when I seen a box of 8 in Iceland for just £1, 8 for the price of 6 in fact so I bought a box to indulge in that night! Mr Kipling produces these fine whirls and they come packaged in a deep red and white cardboard box. 8 Exceedingly Good Viennese Whirls, with a raspberry jam and buttercream filling it says on the front of the box. Mr Kipling's cakes are brilliant, with a great taste, texture and a very high quality. These are no exception, and are some of the best from the brand. They might be quite expensive, but are worth it and the only thing letting them down are the high amounts of fat and calories. The packaging is very simple, but catches your eye and is very easy to notice. The big image will make your mouth water as they make the product look very delicious, and the big text is easy to read. The product is always fresh and it is easy to open but you will need another container afterwards as the cakes go soft very quickly. The price is very good, they might be ... Read the complete review

Whilst I was browsing the Dooyoo catalogue I came across Mr Kipling Viennese Whirls and memories of my childhood came rushing back. Sunday afternoons were always spent at my Nana's with 9 of my cousins who were all of a similar age. My Nana used to reward us for good behaviour with Mr Kipling Viennese Whirls, as you can imagine 10 children and tasty cakes= chaos. Even as an adult when I go and visit my Nana I secretly hope that she offers me a Mr Kipling Viennese Whirl with my cup of tea. I just have to remember to restrain my excitement more than I did as a child. ***Packaging*** The outer packaging is a deep red colour with the red Mr ... Read the complete review
