frankie1984 Mr Kipling Cappucino Slices: ... My latest treat was these because after nipping to Asda to pick up some bits I spotted that they were only £1 per pack and as I love most forms of coffee cake I thought this would be the perfect treat for me to have! What are they? As the box states they are Mr Kipling branded cake slices. Just like a lot of the other cakes produced by this company there are 6 slices in the box of which each is just under ...

NinkyNonk Mr Kipling Fiendish Fancies
... yuminess! This almost jumped into my trolley at the supermarket, French Fancies are a weakness of mine but knowing I had a valid reason to buy them (it s Halloween!) made them about the more enjoyable. Soft, moist sponge with the expected indulgent blob of fondant then covered in a surprisingly appetising orange icing with black detail. They went down very well with my 3 year old and his Nana alike! I just wish they were bigger as 2 bites and they re gone! It seems greedy eating more than a couple but I could easily devour the box of 8 in one sitting with a hot cuppa tea! I guess you can t beat the originals from a nostaglic point of view but these Hallowee...

kiss_me_now9 Mr Kipling Cappucino Slices
... like a bit of coffee cake as much as the next girl, but I couldn t eat it all the time. Likewise, these cappucino slices are nice for a quick treat but definitely not on my buy every week list. As with all other Mr Kiplings slice cakes, these come packed in pairs (6 to a box) and have the classic white icing and striped - in this case brown - diagonal lines over the top. The icing is nice but doesn t really have any flavour and is a bit too sticky; though that may have just been the batch I bought. The icing was stuck to the top of the cellophane and a large amount of it was left behind which was disappointing but a known hazard with Kiplings Slices! The cake itself...

Drewster_Rooster Mr Kipling Mince Pies
... far too early to be eating Mince Pies despite my love for them. For the past few weeks I have strolled past them and showed great self control, until today. As Halloween and Bonfire night have passed us by the next thing to look forward to is Christmas. Mince Pies and Christmas go hand in hand to me and as we are now counting down to the festive season into my basket a box or two appeared. Mr Kipling has had a bit of a revamp on their boxes this year, there is still a picture of a mince pie revealing its contents but now there s a red-gloved hand cheekily pinching one of the pies with the caption "Santa s Favourite" We are told that these are "but...
