Advantages: A rich and luxurious yoghurt from Muller.
Disadvantages: None, it tastes great.
Muller have some cracking offers in the supermarkets at the moment, the multi packs of Muller light yoghurt's are on offer at ridiculously low prices. If you happened to be passing a Lidls store within the last week the Muller rice has been on offer at 20p a pot.
The Muller Amore yoghurt's are a class act, Muller have gone all out to impress with these sophisticated pots of thick creamy yoghurt.
In Sainsburys you can expect to pay in excess of 45p a pot for them, Morrison's have them on offer, three pots for £1 but I struck lucky and managed to buy four pots for £1 in our local frozen food cut price store.
They had two flavours on offer, the Morello cherry yoghurt and the vanilla and chocolate flake yoghurt, I love both so I bought two tubs of each.
Muller have created an elegant cardboard tub for their up market yoghurt. The rich royal blue tub is dripping with ripe Morello cherries and on the foil lid there is a tempting picture of a spoonful of thick creamy yoghurt with a luscious cherry sitting in the middle of the spoonful of yoghurt.
The foil lids just peels back and the contents of the tub are laid bare. The Amore cherry yoghurt is so thick that it sits firmly in the cardboard tub, only relenting when the spoon is dipped into it.
The yoghurt is cherry coloured but at least it looks authentic, last week I bought a large pot of Onken cherry yoghurt and I was a little alarmed at the artificial colour.
The thick yoghurt deserves to be eaten at a time when you can make the very most of it, it is far too good to hurry.
You will notice that the edge of the spoon almost slices the yoghurt, that shows just how thick and creamy it is.
From my point of view the Muller Amore just has to be one of the best yoghurt's there is to be had, you can taste the cream as soon as it enters your mouth, yet the cherry yoghurt is not too sweet.
Even the vanilla and chocolate flake Muller is not too sweet either.
Muller describe the yoghurt as indulgent and full of chunks of Morello cherry and they have hit the nail on the head.
Most of us associate yoghurt with healthy eating plans or diets but the Amore yoghurt is quite high in calories. The 150 g tub contains about 210 calories which is far far higher than most of its counterparts.
Take a look at the ingredients and you will see that the yoghurt contains whipping cream, sugar, yoghurt, lemon juice, cherries and natural flavourings.
Every 100 g of Muller amore contains 16.8 carbohydrates and 15.8 of that comprises of sugar.
There are 7.3g of fat and 4.5g of this is saturated fat.
I think that this only goes to show that not all yoghurt's are as good for you as they appear and maybe that we should only consider buying the Muller Amore as a treat rather than an everyday dessert.
I love the pots of fruit fool that you can buy and the consistency of the Muller Amore reminds me of them.
Amore just has to be one of the most luxurious yoghurt's that is on offer and it has everything going for it. The creaminess is superb, the yoghurt has chunks of cherry as opposed to just the odd piece and it tastes very natural.
They may be indulgent but if they still have them on offer when I pass by the shop tomorrow there will be four more sitting in my fridge waiting to be enjoyed.
Summary: An adult yoghurt.
