Advantages: creamy but light yogurt, handy

Disadvantages: nothing special

I am not 100% sure that the yogurt I have consumed is exactly the same as the one shown above. It was a Red Berry Muller Corner Healthy Balance yogurt but the label is a little different. I think that perhaps mine is a newer version.

These Muller yogurts, along with the original fruit corners, are on offer at Asda, at present, for 2 packs of 6 for £3. This offers really good value. We purchased one pack of original muller corner yogurts and one of the healthy balance variety. There were two of each flavoured yogurts in each multi pack.

What I liked about the Healthy balance Red Berry corner was that the yogurt is a mild but creamy, low fat, probiotic type. It is very smooth and pale and does look and taste quite natural. I find some yogurts taste a little synthetic these days. The red berry corner was a mixture of what looked like small peices of a red berry cereal mix. Next time I will add some fresh fruit but today I did not have any to hand.

The dry red berry mixture was OK but nothing special. It was not too sweet which suited me.In fact you could add a little museli to a plain yogurt for the same taste. However this yougurt would be good to take with a packed lunch or similar. It is easy to open and not messy at all to eat.

The nutritional information looks pretty standard for such yogurts but these do have less fat than other muller corners. The label claims 100% natural ingredients which is good if not a little unbelievable.

Each pot contains 150g in total for which the calories are around 170.

On the whole this red berry corner is a good value yogurt that tases nice but is not anything special. The full price for six in Asda is £2 so it is worth going for the multi pack offer if you can consume them in time. The use by date on ours is 26th April so we should have no problems.

Summary: A light addition to the Muller corner range.
