Well, today for my dinner time, or lunch time snack for you who are down south. I was working on the computor and getting peckish, so it was off to the kitchen to make a sandwich and see what goodies are in the fridge. I happen to have come across this muller corner with the taste of jaffa cakes, I quickly run back upstairs so that the teenager doesn't see me and takes the muller corner off me because I'm supposed to be dieting, but hey we can all fall off the wagon sometime and being a particular fan of jaffa cakes, I had to take this out of the fridge. I went shopping last night at the Co-op and all the muller corners were on offer buy four of them for a pound..bargain don't you think? Anyway I couldn't resist as I have never seen the jaffa cakes version before so in my basket it had to go. I think they are usually priced at around 42p so for 25p it was well worth falling off the diet for a day. Muller Corners come in loads of different varieties, there's the fruit corners which if i'm not mistaken were the first of these kind of yogurts to hit the market and you ccan get, strawberry, peach, raspbery and blackberry, cherry and then there's the crunch corners. These are a little more exciting and come in great tempting flavours like chocolate cornflakes with banana yogurt or little chocolate covered balls with strawberry yogurt and lots more varieties too. But the one which got me was the newer flavour which was jaffa cakes. So there I was peeling back the foil lid and looking at two compartments one had little balls of dark and milk chocolate covered crispies and the other has a generous helping of vanilla yogurt. But what's this I thought? Underneath the yogurt was an orangey liquid. This is delicious, I tipped the side with the chocolate balls into the the one with the yought and orangy flavour so that they landed on the top of the yogurt and even though this doesn&
#39;t look anything like a jaffa cake, the taste of the combination of topping, yogurt and orangy bit is similar to the jaffa cake taste. I'm hooked, to hell with the diet I had to eat it all . Looking at the calorie content to find out that it's a 158 was also a surprise, I'd have thought that it was much more than that. This seems like a rich indulgent thing to eat. I can even stick to my 1000 calories a day without breaking the diet and still eat this. That's really good news. I'm not going to eat one of these a day though but to be honest with the offer on at the supermarket I think that the next time I go in I will buy another, there's four of us at home so one each is great for the £1.00 it costs. If you haven't tried one of these yet then your in for a treat, I have to say though the smell of oranges is very strong. Even so I did polish the lot off and will be buying them again. I love muller corner and haven't come across any of the flavours that I haven't liked.
