Advantages: delicious, cheap, on offer

Disadvantages: not as healthy as some

I wasn't too sure about trying the Müller Blueberry Fruit Corner, though after my Dad said that it was one of his favourites, I decided it was worth a try; you never know if you'll like something until you do!

When you remove the shiny lid from the top of the split pot, you'll notice the two sections are filled with two colours quite the opposite! In the larger corner, you'll see a fresh, white yoghurt, not a single speck of colour. The smaller corner homes a rich dark purple coloured-substance, the blueberry fruit. It didn't look much like blueberry, but it did smell like the fruit. The yoghurt had a slightly bitter scent, but nothing special.

Okay, so it smelled appealing, but what about the taste? Well, you can eat Müller Corners in two ways; either mixing the sections together or enjoying them separately. Me, I do a mix. First I sample each corner, then stir them together. Giving the yoghurt a try, I discovered it had a natural, slightly bitter taste to it, just like the refreshing yoghurts in the other Fruit Corners. When I tried the sticky syrup-like fruit section, I was surprised at how sugary sweet it was. It did in fact taste of blueberries, but was not too fresh. The pieces of fruit in it were quite small, but juicy nonetheless.

Although it was fruity, I hadn't expected this yoghurt to be overly healthy. At closer inspection, I discovered this was true. Each 175g pot contains 184 calories, 6.8g fat and 22.8g sugars. Although its not as bad as some Corner yoghurts, it's definitely not as healthy as the low-fat ones. On a positive, it does contain 28% of our RDA of calcium, with 224mg per pot.

*WARNING*: each serving contains milk and gluten.

Müller yoghurts are such a popular brand, they can be found almost everywhere! They're usually priced at a reasonable 54p, though quite often you'll find them on offer. These deals differ from time to time, but just now they can be found at Asda, with an offer of 10 for £2.

You might wonder how you're going to manage to eat your way through ten yoghurts before they expire, but don't worry! These yoghurts have a fairly good shelf-life, lasting around a fortnight after purchase.

Although I cannot add this yoghurt to my weetabix or slosh it over fruit, it does have its benefits. It's low, square shape means it can be easily popped into a lunch box without bulking it out or squishing other items, and it's a quick source of energy to serve to lethargic kids after school. You can also serve it as a tasty snack or delicious pudding after meals.

There are plenty of fruity yoghurts in the Corner range, Peach & Apricot, Strawberry, and Cherry to name just a few. With such a variety, there's bound to be one for you, and it could well be the Blueberry Corner!
