First impressions mean quite a lot, especially when it comes to food. One dodgy experience and that's that (I've been put off tuna steaks for life!). It was important that the first Müller Fruit Corner I tried was satisfying, and I'm sure its safe to say the Strawberry Fruit Corner was a definite positive experience!

The yoghurt comes in a little white pot, split into sections. When I first peeled back the shiny plastic lid, the first thing I noticed was how strong the strawberry aroma was. Peering into the split pot, I indulged in the glorious sight of the dessert. In the larger section was fresh white natural yoghurt. The smaller corner held a rich red puree, with the odd speck of strawberry shining through. It looked so tempting, I couldn't wait to try!

Now, Müller Corner yoghurts can be eaten in a few different ways. I personally like to sample each section first before mixing them together. Spooning up some of the natural yoghurt, I was amazed at how cool and creamy it was. A definite delight with its bitter sweet taste. Hoping the strawberry puree was as splendid, I shovelled some of the sticky sauce into my mouth and examined the taste. It was definitely sugary sweet and had a strong tangy strawberry flavour. After combining the two contents and giving it a little stir, creating a pale pink shade, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasteful it was. Although the strawberry sauce was quite dominant in taste, it didn't completely disguise the natural yoghurt.

Being a fruity yoghurt, I wasn't too sure what to expect from this sweet treat in the terms of nutrition. However, with closer inspection, I discovered that the damage wasn't unbearable, but not great either! Each 175g pot contains 200 calories and 26.8g sugars, not forgetting the 6.8g fat! Though, on a positive, each serving does contain 224mg calcium, which is around 28% of our Recommended Daily Allowance. They're also suitable for vegetarians.

*WARNING*; each yoghurt contains milk, so is not suitable for lactose intolerants!

Especially with the credit crunch occurring now, I think it's vital that we watch how much we spend. Thankfully, this particular yoghurt will only knock you back 54p! Quite often you'll find Müller yogurts on offer too, and are currently being sold at Asda with a deal of 10 for £2.

Now you may wonder how you'll manage to eat your way through ten yogurts, but never fear! The Müller Corners have a fairly decent shelf-life, not expiring until around a fortnight after purchase! Though, they don't ever last that long in my fridge.
Although I do like to enjoy yoghurts with fruit or weetabix, the Corner yoghurt simply isn't useful for that. However, its low square shape does allow you to pop it easily into a lunchbox without bulking it out. It can also be served as a quick snack for lethargic kids or as a little pudding after meals too.

There are many Fruit Corners available; Blueberry, and Peach & Apricot to name just two. With such a variety, there's bound to be a flavour for you, and this could be the one!
