Advantages: Tasty, not many calories, not too expensive

Disadvantages: None

I read a very interesting article on MSN a few days ago about different ways to boost your metabolism, and so help your weight loss. I am on a diet and am trying to lose weight, so I am keen to do all that I can that was mentioned in the article in order to help me with my goal. Along with some advice which I had already heard, such as sleep more, eat breakfast and so on, one piece of advice which was new to me grabbed my attention, and I decided to give it a go. This advice was to eat more dairy products. According to the article, a study published in the American Society for Nutritional Sciences Journal of Nutrition, women who consumed milk, yoghurt and cheese several times a day lost 70% more body fat than women who ate no dairy. This is apparently due to calcium and other substances found in dairy, and women can get the best benefits from these by eating dairy about three times a day. As someone who loves yoghurt and cheese but has been trying to cut down on these somewhat due to their calorie content, I was delighted to read this advice, and so the next time I went down to the student shop I treated myself to this yoghurt from Muller Light, thinking that this would be a treat that would even help me with my diet.

I have bought a few Muller Light yoghurts from my Student Shop over the past few days which cost 62p each, which I didn't think was a bad price, so I was delighted when I went to Asda the other day to discover that they have an offer on whereby you can get four Muller Light Yoghurts for £2. This isn't a massive saving, but is one worth having, especially since there is greater variety at Asda than my local shop. I happily put four yoghurts of different flavours into my trolley, and it was this Peach one that I picked first out of the fridge this morning when I wanted my first yoghurt snack of the day.

This yoghurt only contains 94 calories, which is slightly less than the other flavours in the range, and is very good for a snack in general. The pot contains 200g of yoghurt, so it's a substantial enough snack and will stave off hunger for another hour or so after eating it. This pot also contains 31% of your RDA of calcium, which bodes well for weight loss according to the aforementioned study, as well as being good for your bones and teeth.

Anyway, on to the taste. I am happy to report that this yoghurt tastes great, as it is fruity as well as creamy, without being overly sweet. The taste isn't as sweet as the Strawberry and Banana Custard varieties which I have already tried and reviewed, yet the taste is still very nice and is satisfying as a sweet snack. The peach taste isn't very strong, and there are no pieces of fruit present in the yoghurt as there were in the strawberry yoghurt, though this subtly is effective, and I don't think that a stronger peach flavour would improve this yoghurt's flavour in any way.

In conclusion, this yoghurt is a great tasting snack that is low calorie and fat, it will hopefully help to boost your metabolism too. It's a good snack that I reckon most people will like, so I would recommend it to anyone looking for a snack which is low in calories as well as being healthy and cheap.

Summary: A gorgeous yoghurt from Muller Light
