Advantages: Smooth, creamy, low fat, fruity and citrusy taste, delicious, great scent
Disadvantages: 6.9g sugar per pot
I bought a pack of 8 Muller light 'Srawberry' and 'Smooth Peach' yogurts in 'Netto' last week, they had them on offer for just 99p so I thought I'd give them a try - not particularly keen on Muller yogurts to be honest but found these are okay.
The pack of 8 has small rounded white plastic 125g pots that come with a 'foil-like' paper on the top that you can easily peel off..
The pack highlights that Mullerlight Smooth Peach is:
Fat Free
59 Calories Per Pot
19% Calcium RDA
No Artificial Colours or Preservatives
(Contains Miik)
It contains 'Yogurt, Peach Puree, water, fructose, passionfruit juice, gelatine, flavourings, sodium citrates, citric acid, sweetener, aspatame.
You can find the nutritional information on the pack too:
Energy: 201 KJ (47kcal)
Protein: 4.1g
Carbohydrates: 6.9g
of which sugars 6.3g (Personally I find this quite high)
sugars naturally from fruit & milk 4.9g
Fat: 0.1g (Great, low fat!)
of which saturates 0.1g
Fibre 0.2g
Sodium 0.1g
Calcium 127mg
The yogurt has a creamy texture, it is very smooth, it is not as thick as I'd like, thought it was quite watery...I am fond of the thicker yogurts.
It has a sweet fruity scent and a strong citrusy taste to it with a bit of a kick which I presume is from the passionfruit juice contained as listed in the ingredients... There's a nice peachy taste and that comes through in the scent of the yogurt too.
It is yummy and I'd probably eat it again (had one for lunch:) but the sugar content of most yogurt pots normally puts me off them and this is one of them..
Otherwise, I'd recommend this as a dessert, snack or treat.
