Advantages: Low in calories and fat without being low in taste

Disadvantages: Would be nice to have some bits in!

As the quest to lose weight for my upcoming nuptials continues, my fridge is full of diet and low calorie treats. Now normally, this would bore me silly. I'm not what you would call a 'natural healthy eater' and to be honest, if it isn't chocolate, it isn't normally worth bothering with.

Many companies have attempted to make a decent healthy yoghurt, and Muller are one of many to jump on the diets bandwagon and bring out their own low calorie version. However, it is worth bothering with? Read on avid yoghurt fans.

Packaging
~~~~~~~
The Muller light toffee yoghurt comes in a large pot, with a creamy beige colour lid with a big picture of toffee on the top. Much larger than standard pots, the logo is emblazoned on the top, its sort of a heart shape of white, red and blue, and then the red and white muller logo.
I have never seen on with a blue lid like in this picture, but there is every chance that they exist! Just not to my knowledge.
The taste
~~~~~~~
If you are expecting thick toffee pieces and loads of cream, you are obviously new to the diet ranges. The challenge is to try and keep some of the taste, whilst removing the bulk of the bad bits. Now I'm no scientist, but I'm aware that sadly, the tastiest bits also tend to be removed, so no lumpy bits in this one (to try and get rid of your lumpy bits! - See what I did there ;) )

However, I think this doesn't do bad things to the taste. For a mere 100 calories a pot alongside minimal saturated fat, the toffee yoghurt manages to be creamy and smooth, with a lovelytoffee taste. The problem is with it being so smooth, not to guzzle it all down in one! also, Veggie friendly :)

The best bit is that they haven't made this taste horrible and synthetic. It has a gentle toffee flavour and is lovely and thick. Personally, I give this flavour a big thumbs up even when toffee isn't normally a typical flavour id head towards.

Where to buy?
~~~~~~~~~~
Most supermarkets and corner shops sell muller light yoghurt's of all flavours, and typically they cost around £1.20 a pot. However, the key is to shop around. So often the super markets do multi-buy offers on these. I understand at the moment Iceland have 3 for £2, and Asda especially often offer these at bargain prices.
Overall?
~~~~~~~

Overall, a very nice tasting treat. The pot is large and lasts well, and the yoghurt is creamy and lovely tasting, without tasting like a horrible synthetic version of the full-calorie versions. You can feel like you are having something a little naughty, without paying for it on the scales. Yum.

Summary: Very tasty for a different treat for people watching their weight.
