... added to the pudding. The pudding states on the front that it contains over 200 calories, so I was hoping that it would do a good job of filling me up. The lid peels off easily to give way to a rather odd looking pudding. The pudding is mainly creamy based with the addition of plenty of rice. It then has swirls of apple round the outside. With the strawberry version the sauce is such a different colour to the main pudding that it is easily distinguishable. With the apple version the sauce is only just slightly a dif...more

This review is for Muller Rices new rhubarb low fat rice. I was looking around for some healthier sweet treats and ended up picking up this low fat rhubarb muller rice because they had none of the caramel ones in stock. A 200g pot is available in the chiller section of the supermarket for around 40p. It is served in small plastic tub with a foil lid. The lid tels me that it contains less than 3% fat, it contains no artificial colours or preservatives and that each pot contains 25% of my calcium RDA. I decided to have the rice hot, so after peeling the foil lid off I followed the instructions and microwaved it for 90 seconds, ...  Read the complete review

Having just recovered from a sicky bug, I decided I needed to send Luke up the shop to get me something plain, and something that could be either hot or cold. I have always liked Muller rice as they taste delicious as a snack or a desert History on Muller Ludwig Müller first established a village dairy back in 1896, but didn't realise how popular it would become in the late 1900's. In 1970, Theo Müller took control of the family buisness and changed recipes, made some new one's and increased publicity and marketing support. Muller company now earn 1.3billion a year thanks to their success. In 1987, muller corner and crunch corners were launched, and by ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Muller Rice Apple: Apple and rice...very very nice! (588 words)

In a vain attempt to reduce my calorie consumption and lead an even healthier lifestyle I have been looking for a range of desserts that, were low in calories but high in taste. Muller produce a wide range of desserts and treats and the apple Muller rice had been recommended to me by a friend who had discovered them when they were on special offer in Tescos. The pots boast that they are low in fat, but as a rule I always read the labels carefully. I was quite shocked to see that the second ingredient in the pot was sugar, although this probably explains why I enjoyed it so much. It is always important to check the sugar content of low fat foods and I would ...  Read the complete review

I had a rather nice little freebie in my local shopping centre the other day. A stand had been set up which was giving away pots of Müller Rice's apple flavour; they were offering a goody bag of two of the yogurts along with a pen and money off coupons, very nice considering this particular shopping centre is notoriously expensive - I felt like this freebie was a jab in the eye to the Corporations, sad but true! Anyway, the idea of the goodie bag was to show that these rice desserts can be enjoyed hot and cold - and Müller were proving it by giving away two pots so I could try it both ways at no cost to myself. Well, as far as I'm concerned their ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Muller Rice Apple: Muller - A rice worth paying (506 words)

I've been a fan of Muller's vast range of yoghurts for a number of years but I only got around to trying their rice pots in the past 12 months. The reason why I steered clear of these pots was quite simple I didn't fancy the idea of eating chilled rice pudding it did not appeal in any way, shape or form - it was a bad idea - yuk! Anyway, one day I went to the fridge to search for some tasty snack and for whatever reason I chose a rice pot (my wife had picked some up on a supermarket special deal). To my great surprise I really enjoyed that first pot and more followed soon after. I certainly regretted not having tucked into these some time before. They are now ...  Read the complete review
