Once again I find myself thanking those lovely people at ASDA, because once again they've put these on special offer. They seem to do so every three weeks or so. I now know the offer is coming and am prepared to wait. The deal they have is a six-pack of either the Strawberry or Vanilla for £1.00 that's about 17p each, which is great value. The normal price is around £1.30 so you are saving about 5p per bottle.

The pack contains 6 little bottles each with 150ml of this thick creamy drink. I opted for the vanilla flavour and my wife for the Strawberry. The small curvy bottles have a foil seal, which has a little tab to facilitate easy removal. Unfortunately this isn't always the case, but it isn't really that big a problem. On opening the bottle the first impression is that of a really nice smell, the vanilla hits you very strongly, whilst although the strawberry is evident it is not nearly as overpowering.

The contents are a rich smooth creamy drink, which is also creamy in colour for the vanilla and a very light pink for the strawberry. It is quite thick and requires a little assistance in getting all of it out of the bottle, a little shake will do the trick. After being enticed by the delicious smell you are certainly not going to be disappointed by the taste, they quite simply taste as good as the smell, this isn't something you can say about everything. The vanilla is just lovely and there is a hint of yoghurt there in the background. You aren't going to taste it but there is also the addition of Omega 3 which by all accounts is good for your heart and your general well being.

An investment of 17p per day to keep your gut in order seems a small price to pay, and when those nasty bacteria get there comeuppance you ain't gonna feel a thing except maybe a bit less bloated and a little healthier. This isn't going to kill all the bad bacteria it is just going to give the good stuff a hand to keep the balance of good and bad, which is essential for several medical reasons I have no intention of attempting to explain. Can't say with hand on newly healthier omega 3 treated heart that I actually do feel any different, but I certainly enjoyed trying to be, these are a lovely drink and one that it would take no trouble t all to fit comfortably into my daily routine.
