I've been a fan of Nando's restaurant since they opened in my local high street a couple of years back. I would love to eat there more often, but with a very messy baby sometimes eating out can be more hassle than its worth! So last Saturday we decided to recreate a nando's style feast at home. This is Nandos in your home! What a brilliant idea from this chain, especially as they don't do home deliveries. There are about 7-8 flavours of marinade available, but I personally like the Sun-Dried Tomato & Basil. It is not spicy at all - the spiciness should be added using the peri-peri table sauce. I've always used chicken legs (thighs and/or drumsticks) for this as I find breast meat dries out too quickly. Also the extra fat in the chicken leg keeps the marinade moist and tends to help prevent any burning in the oven. If you love Nando's just as much as me, but can't quite justify paying out for it everytime you get that craving then this is the marinade for you. The bottle itself has identical pictures and such that you would find in the restaurant, so has immediately recognisable packaging that you can spot on the shelf. In my supermarket it's along with all the pasta sauces and other dips, so you shouldn't have any problem finding it.
