Nando's Peri-Peri Sauce

Description: Manufacturer: Nando's / Type: Sauce

... minutes with a splash of olive oil, and then chuck the whole bottle of sauce over them, stir and cook for another 20 to 25 minutes (keep an eye on them and set the oven to around 210). We then use the cooking time to make creamy mashed potato's and vegetables (cobbed corn works well with this dish). Finally, warm plates, serve and enjoy! Obviously this sauce also works well with chicken too but pork is a yummy alternative. I cannot rate this sauce highly enough, it is so delicious that you can't help but love it. ...more

Premium Review Nando's Peri-Peri Sauce: Spicy Sauces for Serious Splodgers! (261 words)

Nando's - I love the restaurant (check out my other review), and now I can take home their sauces to spice up my own meals! If you are familiar with the restaurant, you'll already be aware that you choose your chicken (quarter chicken, wrap, burger etc.) and then select a level of spiciness depending on how tough you are (which means that things can get silly when you go with your mates!). You can also grab a bottle of sauce to go with your meal, with a great range to choose from, including light non-spicy sauces, garlic sauces, hot sauces and extra-hot sauces! To echo the dining experience, Nando's now sell bottles of their sauces in various ...  Read the complete review

***What is it?*** You can use the peri peri sauce as a marinade or table sauce. (You can also buy special marinade versions now too). They are available in five flavours with varying degrees of spice: Wild Herb, Garlic, Medium, Hot and Extra Hot (eek). These sauces are all suitable for vegetarians. They come in small bottles made of glass. ***Ingredients*** These are the ingredients of the garlic version which I love the most. It gives a great flavour to chicken and other meat and is also a little spicy- perfect combo! Water, Vinegar, Lemons, Onions, Garlic, Sunflower Oil, Salt, Serrano ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nando's Peri-Peri Sauce: A taste of Nandos in the comfort of your own home! (646 words)

I am addicted to eating out at Nandos but in this credit crunching times I'm trying my best to eat in more. If anyone else has this addictive problem then these sauces are a good idea to get that Nandos fix at home. The range of sauces are the same as the ones you get in the huge bottles in a Nandos restaurant: (Mildest first down to the spiciest) Wild Herb Garlic Medium Hot Extra Hot I always choose to have my meal medium heat and then add a dash of the garlic peri-peri sauce when we eat out. When we were in Sainsburys last week, the Nandos sauces were on offer at half price but they only had the Hot or Extra Hot ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review hot, hot, hot! (449 words)

I've only been to Nando's on a few occasions but each time I've really enjoyed their meals as I'm a big fan of chicken. I wondered what their secret ingredient was & now I think I know. My daughter bought me a bottle of medium per-peri sauce which says on the label 'Peri-Peri sauce is the heart & soul of Nando's & the secret ingredient behind the Nando's restaurants worldwide'. Unfortunately I can't reproduce the full Nando experience in my home-cooking but I find it really useful to have in the fridge to 'liven up' my dishes & make them a bit more special. The bottle is 125ml & cost around £1.30 which I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nando's Peri-Peri Sauce: I love this (337 words)

I'm a big fan of Nando's and I think their success does lie in thier Peri Peri Sauce - because otherwise they would just be selling dry chicken in their restaurants! In the restaurants, you have a choice of Garlic, Wild Herb, Medium, Hot and Extra Hot sauces, and you can add as much as you like. You can also buy small bottles for just over £1 each (I think about £1.30/£1.45), and this Christmas I noticed they were selling bundles of 3 bottles with a ribbon round them as seasonal gifts - great as a stocking filler! In the restaurants you can also get the sauce that comes in a black bottle with a red X - we call it 'death sauce' as it's the spiciest ...  Read the complete review
