Advantages: The mint flavour is excellent
Disadvantages: Not great value for money
I've always been a big fan of the standard Aero mint chocolate bar so I was quite interesting in trying out bitesize Aero bubbles.
Packaging: The foil bag is green and white coloured with green bubbles to indicate the mint flavour. The brown Aero logo is instantly recognisable. The weight of the bag is not stated, but I worked it out to be approximately 36g. The ends of the bag are perforated and is easy to open.
Smell: When you open the bag, you can instantly smell the recognisable Aero peppermint flavour which really whets the appetite.
Appearance: The Aero bubbles are a regular spherical shape and are coated in smooth milk chocolate. They are slightly larger than Malteasers.
Taste: The bubbles taste exactly like a standard mint Aero. When you bite through the milk chocolate coating, you can instantly taste the bubbly chocolate texture in the centre, and the mint is noticable, but not overpowering. The bubbles are easy to chew and the chocolate Aero centre really melts in the mouth! This supports the claim on the packet "feel the bubbles melt". The overall taste is excellent and the bubbles are very moreish and rich. Make sure that you store this product in the fridge before consumption for the best flavour.
Value for money: The bag from my local Co-op cost 55p and the bag I purchased contained 12 bubbles. This is probably not the best value for money chocolate on the market, but the bubbles are rich and are fairly large.
Overall: The Aero bubbles are a much tastier way of eating a standard Aero bar. The mint flavour is excellent and this product would be a great after dinner treat. The only slight downside is that this product is not the best value for money chocolate item.
