Advantages: Bitesize and tasty, can be passed around friends.

Disadvantages: The mint flavour can overwhelm

The first time I saw this product I was hesitant to say the least. I seem to be in the minority of the people I know that actually enjoy mint flavoured chocolate, with aero mint being a favourite for many years now. Did I want to taint my memory of my beloved aero by venturing into the biteize form?

After a while, I realised I was being daft. It was still essentially the same product, just in handier, bite size format - I love bitsize format. Malteasers, minstrels, and other such products have always been enjoyed in the past, so this should be just as good.

And I was right.

The taste was classic aero mint and I munched my way through the bag before I had time to blink. As always, the chocolate was very smooth and melted in the mouth to release the sharp minty taste that I relish so much. A great new take on an old product.

However, I felt the bag was slightly smaller, especially as in my experience it costs more than the classic bar, so I was expecting a larger amount of chocolate. I also noticed that, unlike the bars, the mintiness did start to become slightly overwhelming by the end of the bag. No problem for a mintaholic like myself, but I can imagine anyone that simply likes mint or is impartial to it will find a bit too much.

However, these small gripes aside, the aero mint bubbles are a great addition to any chocolate horde, plus you can pass them around without feeling like you have lost 1/5 of your bar!

NOTE: While I have reviewed just the mint version, these do come in the classic milk chocolate flavour as well and might be preferred over the mint if you are in such way inclined.

Summary: A nice change on a tried and tested piece. Aero bubbles are delicious.
