All this time when I've been eating minty Aero's I haven't realised I've been eating Aero Chunky, I thought they were always made this way.
Anyway to the bar itself. As you can see from the picture the inside of the Aero is a bright green colour, normally I'd avoid anything that bright green when it comes to food, but definitely not here. The minty bubbly centre is surrounded by a thing layer of Nestle chocolate.
Unlike the picture above the Aero is no longer packaged in a silicon paper layer surrounded by the wrapper, it comes in a foil like all in one wrapper. This is a bit of a shame, because when it was packaged the old way it was possible to share the bar in half, and both people could have half of the silicon paper so they didn't get chocolate all over their fingers. Now it's not so easy to share.
The bar is very, very minty, so much in fact that you're lucky to taste the chocolate at all. But if you nibble some of the chocolate first, you'll find that it's nice and creamy, but not quite up to the standards of Cadbury.
The minty bubbly bit is the reason for buying the bar, if you let the bubbles rest on your tongue they'll pop away a bit like Space Dust used to. The airiness of the bar makes it a nice light snack, although it also makes it disappear all too quickly.
Per bar there are 233 calories, 2.2g of protein, 26.0g carbohydrates, 13.2g fat.
I just bought 3 from the Co-op for £1, but normally they retail at about 47p each.
Summary: Highly recommended
