Advantages: Great All round family breakfast cereal for all the family
Disadvantages: None
When it comes to having breakfast nowadays there is a lot of choice with the huge variety of cereals out there and Cheerio's is one of the main brands my family buy time and time again.
Cheerio's come in a cardboard box, like most other cereals and are wrapped for freshness.
***How they taste***
You can have cheerio's with or without milk, I say this because my little boys who are 3 and 1 like to have these without milk from time to time, But I also like them to have them with milk due to the fact milk is what we all need in our daily diet.
Cheerio's are fairly small and look like hoops, I would say they are smaller than a 5 pence piece. I can't seem to think of any comparisons to size. They are fairly thin and once they are soaked in the milk they go a little soggy fairly quickly. So you have to eat them in the first five minutes for that crunchiness!
***Good for you? ***
A lot of cereals say they are good for you, but after closer inspection they appear not to be, Cheerio's probably are not as good as say Weetabix however they are full of a lot of goodness too.
Here are the Ingredients:-
Whole Grain Cereal Grains (74.3%)(Whole Grain Maize, Whole Grain Oats, Whole Grain Barley, Whole Grain Wheat, Whole Grain Rice), Sugar, Partially Inverted Brown Sugar Syrup, Wheat Starch, Rice Flour, Salt, Tripotassium Phosphate, Vegetable Oil, Colours: Caramel and Annatto, Antioxidant: Tocopherols.
Vitamins and Minerals: Vitamin C, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin (B2), Thiamin (B1), Folic Acid (Folacin), Vitamin B12, Calcium Carbonate and Iron
These taste quite sweet but they are very appealing and have the quality of being quite Moorish. they also are satisfying and most importantly keep me filled up most of the morning, sometimes even till lunch time.
Then there is always the GDA now that is on all our packets of food, I quite like this as it makes it clearer than just counting calories,

What I love about Cheerio's is it covers many areas of gaining some of my RDA and contains a lot of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin c which you don't even think about being in a cereal and folic acid.
A 30 gram serving of Nestlé Cheerio's provides 25% of the RDA of eight vitamins and iron and 17% of the RDA of calcium.
*** Overall Opinion***
Cheerio's is in my eyes a much better cereal for you and your family, then some other really sugary brands such as "Frosties". They are appealing to my small children and are great for little ones as snacks too.
I have heard a lot of people saying Cheerio's are expensive but I don't see they are, be expected to pay around £2.00 at Asda for 600Grams. You have to think about how long this cereal lasts and breakfast is just as important as any other meal of the day, so spending a couple of pound on something that lasts a couple of week and feeds a whole family is a good buy it also gives you and your family those vitamins and minerals to keep our bodies ticking over nicely.
I definitely rate these 10/10
Summary: Brillant 10/10
