For those of you who do not know me, I am a massive cereal addict! If nutrition allowed me to munch on bowl after bowl for my three meals a day, then there would be no stopping me! As long as I get one bowl a day, most likely at breakfast time, I am happy enough! And there's such a large variety out there to choose from! On one hand, that could be seen as a benefit, but looking at it from another point, this could cause some frustration and stress whilst trying to choose which boxes to purchase! That's when variety packs come in useful! After a recent trip to Asda, I was struggling to decide which cereal I fancied taking home with me. When I spotted the three ... Read the complete review

In an attempt to get kids to eat cereals for their breakfast the cereal makers are constantly looking for new ideas that will not only look attractive to kids but also taste good, Cocopops were the only kids orrientated cereal for a long time but now there are many with the latest being the offering from Nestle which they call the cookie crisp. Although these do taste quite nice and I can see the attraction of them to kids I have a few problems with them, the first being that they are called cookie crisp but as they are designed to be eaten with milk they are actually cookie soggy by the time you get to your third spoonful. Worse than that though is ... Read the complete review

Trying out different cereals for me of late has become a bit of addiction to be perfectly honest with you! For years now I've been stuck in rut with fruit 'n' fibre and with an eating disorder to contend with I tend to stick to the same foods alot. However in my local Sainsbury's I noticed that they stock a lot of cereals in small boxes which are meant to be single servings and costing at only 35p a box I've been able to try many different cereals out without having to commit to huge boxes of the stuff! I've found a new found love of all things Shreddies and discovered I like chocolaty cereals too! When I saw these I was ever so curious to try ... Read the complete review

I always wanted my kids to eat only the healthiest of products, with the occasional "naughty" treat (completely different from my own childhood when I ate every available sugary, starchy, fatty food on the market) but things haven't quite turned out that way! My 2 children saw Cookie Crisp advertised on TV and then on the supermarket shelf. I bought a packet, against my better judgement, about a year ago and they have become their number one cereal of choice every since. The nutritional values on the side of the packet don't make great eating on the sugar front so I counter that by ensuring that the portions are small. In fact these dense biscuit ... Anyone familiar with my previous reviews will know I have two young children, my eldest (now 6) has recently "come out of" the picky eating stage, my youngest (who is 3), has unfortunately just entered it! My son eats very little that could be deemed as nutritious and is living on mashed potatoes as a main course, in my infinite wisdom I decided to try encouraging him in the cereal area. Ok, so the cereal may not be what many would consider as nutritious, but just the sheer fact that it contains a guaranteed whole grain, and my son still eats it, is a bonus for me! The product I will know review is Nestlé's "cookie ... Read the complete review
