Nestle Dairy Box

Surprise, surprise another unhappy customer. My mother and I have been buying Diary box for special occasions for many years and always thought the selection and flavours were not to be beat. You can imagine our disappointment at xmas when we opened the new box to find the same choc's over and over again. My favourite the turkish delight - gone, all the nice nutty ones - gone, whats happening. My mum decided to phone and make a formal complaint and spoke to a very polite and helpful woman. I have been enjoying Dairy Box for many years, as my favourite box of chocolates. They were always the best nutty selection without too many creams, (I hate orange and coffee creams!) This year, my grandchildren bought me the usual box for my birthday and I am deeply disappointed in the new look! To start with, the box makes you think you may have Thorntons not Nestle. On opening, the layout is the same as you'd expect from Thorntons too. I received a box of Dairy Box for Christmas and am extremely disappointed. In fact, so disappointed I am just about to send them back to Nestle. They seem to have replaced the original flavours with all these ghastly mousses and truffle centres which I can't stand. Even the ones I normally like eg orange and caramel creme had no flavour at all and seemed to have been replaced by the same bland chocolate praliney centre. Have they just given up on the whole idea of "variety" and "selection" and decided to make them all chocolate truffles. I have just purchased a box of Dairy Box chocolates in the sincere belief/hope that I will get at least one orange cream and a coffe cream. (My absolute favourites).. for Christmas. It seems that these items are almost illegal and that nobody in the world but me, thinks I should be allowed one. However, and I do not know where the the other reviewer bought their Dairy Box, but mine is 50% nuts (3 almond 1 hazelnut and 1 praline out of 10). how many do you want? I received this as a gift and whilst most times I put boxes of chocolate on the "to pass on and give away" shelf, I decided to give this a try! Why? Because it was Nestle (creators of Maltesers and Rolo). I've tried Cadbury's and they are disgusting, and never tried Nestle Dairy Box, so I tried it to compare, and it isn't bad. ~~~BOX DESIGN~~~ The box has a simplistic design, the top is very crisp and clean, minimalistic with the name of the box written in large font.
