I received this as a gift and whilst most times I put boxes of chocolate on the "to pass on and give away" shelf, I decided to give this a try! Why? Because it was Nestle (creators of Maltesers and Rolo). I've tried Cadbury's and they are disgusting, and never tried Nestle Dairy Box, so I tried it to compare, and it isn't ... We host foreign language students who are in the UK on summer school trips, and invariably when they leave to go home, we get a small "thank you" gift from them. Over the years this has ranged from teapots (I kid you not, and we are not even big tea drinkers!) to the ease of giving a box of chocolates. Our latest student went ... Read the complete review

I was given a box of these chocolates for Mothers day and have been very good and treated myself to one chocolate a day, so now I feel I have tasted enough to write the review. The box has been redesigned from the picture above. The box is cream in colour with some random stripes and a maroon square in the middle. There are 22 ... Read the complete review

Agree with the majority here. A sad loss of a great classic range of chocolates. Bring back nut cluster 'proper' orange cream (not the truffley gooey item in the modern version, and others. This latest incarnation puts too much emphasis on truffle/mousse. If I wanted the continental sickly type, I would go for Thorntons or Belgian assortment line!
All the box bought for me for mother's day (apart from the 3 ir 4 chocolates I sampled with disbelief) has been thrown away. I have only given one star because it wouldn't let me give minus stars!!!

I received my first ever box of Dairy Box yesterday for Mother's Day and was rather pleasantly surprised. I must say it would not have been my first choice (I would tend to go either high end or these days, fairtrade - on the rare occasion I buy chocolates...for someone else usually) but was just grateful to get anything really. I do love my ... Read the complete review

The picture above is misleading. No longer stocked in the" traditional " packaging. The new modern box goes with their production having been moved to Poland. I had always considered this collection to be the classic British confectionery. I bought a box some six months ago and I was so upset when I opened them at the change in taste, ... Last night I bought a box of Nestle Dairy Box. A special treat, something different from the usual box of roses, celebrations etc. They were also considerably more expensive but they certainly looked good quality and worth the extra money. However to my astonishment each chocolate tasted virtually exactly the same. The only difference ... Read the complete review

Last night I bought a box of Nestle Dairy Box. A special treat, something different from Cadbury's roses and also much more expensive. To my astonishment each chocolate was virtually exactly the same. The centers are made of the same gooey stuff, just colored differently. There is hardly any difference in the flavours. I was astonished actually, Nestle are clearly taking the mick. They are treating consumers like idiots and conning us. Nestle should be ashamed of themselves. I can't believe Im that annoyed that Ive written a review about a box of blummin chocolates ..but Nestle have ripped me off!

When I was a child, if anyone was given a box of chocolates from within the family it was usually either Milk Tray or Dairy Box. I always remember Milk Tray because of the TV advert of the black-clad man, scaling walls, diving through windows and generally being the all-action hero in order to deliver the chocolates to the lucky lady. "All ... Read the complete review

I recently purchased a box of Nestle Dairy box chocolates as a Christmas gift, but the box then called to me to open them and test them out, so I now unfortunately have to go out and purchase another box as I have eaten them all - oops!!! I bought a 200g box from Sainsburys as they were on special offer; I purchased them for the price ... Read the complete review

After polishing a box of these off, I thought I would write about them, The chocolates have changed since I last had them and I am happy with that, but reading the reviews by others it seems the rest of the nation is against the change. So here goes. I've not had a box of Dairy box for a good few years now. I was never that keen on ... Read the complete review

Six weeks after opening and the entire bottom layer still uneaten, a situatution previously unheard of in our house! What a disappointment to find the wafer, orange cream, nut cluster, coffee cream etc all replaced by the same bland, tasteless, uninspiring chocolates. Have purchased Dairy Box for many, many years, and friends always knew what to buy me for a gift. Dairy Box is no longer on my wish list for Mothers Day or Easter. Will not purchase again. Very disappointed.

Surprise, surprise another unhappy customer. My mother and I have been buying Diary box for special occasions for many years and always thought the selection and flavours were not to be beat. You can imagine our disappointment at xmas when we opened the new box to find the same choc's over and over again. My favourite the turkish delight - ... Read the complete review

I cannot put into words my utter disappointment at your "re working" of Dairy Box. I have enjoyed these chocolates for many years and what you have done to them is criminal. A lovely funky box but what lies beneath is too bad for words. Your chocolate does not taste the same at all! Its laid out like continental boxes which is ok im all for change but your centres are beyond belief.
Praline after praline after praline!! Boring. where are al the nuts the coffee cream and chewy toffee. Will not purchase these again!!!!

Just had my favourite dairy Box chocolates bought for my birthday and i am sorry to say they were awful, 'Thorntons look a likes' but without the taste. These chocolates were waxy and tasteless, I could always eat Dairy box without looking at the description list and know straight away what flavour i was choosing but these all tase the same ' tastless' I dont know how they have the cheek to put a description list in the box. I will make sure that next Birthday I express my preference for Milk Tray, what a dissapointment Dairy Box turned out to be.

I received a box of Dairy Box for Christmas and am extremely disappointed. In fact, so disappointed I am just about to send them back to Nestle. They seem to have replaced the original flavours with all these ghastly mousses and truffle centres which I can't stand. Even the ones I normally like eg orange and caramel creme had no flavour at all ... Read the complete review

I have just purchased a box of Dairy Box chocolates in the sincere belief/hope that I will get at least one orange cream and a coffe cream. (My absolute favourites).. for Christmas. I have been enjoying Dairy Box for many years, as my favourite box of chocolates. They were always the best nutty selection without too many creams, (I hate orange and coffee creams!) While at first glance Nestle's highly anticipated Dairy Box may seem like everything you have been longing for in a Dairy Chocolate Box, it is, in all honesty, not everything it may seem at first glance. Although sold reasonably cheaply, and including a reasonable selection of apparently different chocolates, after the first layer, they begin to ... Read the complete review

Although not a lover of Nestle chocolate, we were bought a box of Dairy Box chocolates for Christmas and added them to the huge pile of chocolates we already had languishing on the table.
