Nestle Fab Lollies: Fab by name fab by nature (325 words)

Fab by name fab by nature. I've been eating Fab ice lollies since the mid eighties when I was a child and they taste as good now as they ever did. The Packaging As far as I can remember the packaging of Fab ice lollies hasn't changed since I was a child. They come in a big white box, written across the box in bold blue writing is the name: Fab. Represented behind the name is a picture of the lolly with the lolly stick growing out of a strawberry. The brand name Nestle is placed in the corner of the box. There is also a claim of natural colours and natural flavours in a green circle with a white tick in the centre. Inside the box are eight Fab ...  Read the complete review

A FABulous lolly! (780 words)

The other day the weather was incredibly warm and sunny which makes you think summer is finally arriving (fingers crossed). It instantly made me want to have an ice cream, something sweet and refreshing. After making my way to Tesco I was faced with choosing what exactly I wanted now as I could eat most ice lollies and ice creams the choice can be pretty hard. After much deliberation I opted for a box of Nestle Fabs. I love the old school lollies and I remember enjoying these a lot as a child! *** Fab *** Fab lollies have been around for over 40 years or so and are owned by Nestle but they were originally created by J.Lyons & Co back in the late ...  Read the complete review

Nestle Fab Lollies: Fab goes Orange (336 words)
by - written on 15/05/10 (Very useful, 64 readings)
Rating:

Nestle Fab lollies have been around since I was a child even though I personally prefer a nobbly bobbly lolly. Last week I purchased a box of 8 x 58ml Fab lollies BUT they are orange flavoured, I paid 99p in Tesco's for these as had never seen this flavour before. On reading previous reviews it seems they were about in July last year. Every lolly is individually wrapped and has it's own wooden lolly stick to hold it with. This lolly is made from a orange flavoured ice lolly which is rather more refreshing then the strawberry flavour. The top two thirds then have a layer of a white yoghurt which is soft and can be easily licked or bitten off to ...  Read the complete review

Fabs - they're just fab! (259 words)

Nestle Fab Lollies 8 x 58 ml lollies in one pack - I got mine on offer in Asda for only £1, look out for offers as they often have them. These lollies have been around since I was a child and I still love them. Basically, they are an ice lolly which is made up of 3 different layers. They begin with a strawberry ice lolly, and then there is a creamy milky part in the middle. Then, at the top, there is a chocolate coating with hundreds and thousands on it. A bonus is that these lollies only contain 89 calories each, so they are a great way to have a treat while watching your weight. Nutrition information is as ...  Read the complete review

Nestle Fab Lollies: A 'FAB' tasting lolly (648 words)
by - written on 15/08/09 (Very useful, 102 readings)
Rating:

Fab lollies have been around for over 40 years and I remember eating them as a child just as my own son does now. They were first marketed in 1967 by Nestle and the only thing that has changed about these lollies is that previously the centre was more 'jelly' like whereas nowadays its a strawberry ice centre. I have just researched these lollies on Wikipedia and have just found out they were originally designed for girls between the ages of 5-15 and the name Fab was used in relation to the car Penelope Pitstop drove 'FAB1'. How interesting lol!! Anyway, back to the lolly itself. As with all other lollipops it is a rectangular shape on a small wooden ...  Read the complete review
